I'm at home having a Samuel Adams Cold Snap White Ale.
Usually not a style I like, but this is a whole lot better in my opinion than previous years batches with a improved mouth feel.

Busy here today aren't we?! Exxxcellent! Hey here's yet another new local one for me. This one didn't last long in the beer world as it is already retired: Lift Bridge Half-Assed IPA. It's a session ale that relates to a hard rock morning FM radio show "The 93X Half-Assed Morning Show" here in MN. Every can purchased helps support 23rd Veteran.org. The beer is overall light and quaffable. It's okay & clean but lacks depth. I will plow thru it. Cheers!

 

Saint Errant Harnessed Hopes IPA (Citra, Waimea, Mosaic, Motueka). This is called an IPA, but at 7.8%, this should definitely be a double. Since I've got back from my beer shop run earlier, I've had what I'd consider my top 3 hoppy breweries out of the Chicagoland area (in no particular order): Brothership, Hop Butcher, and Saint Errant. Didn't intend on it turning out this way, but I'm happy it did. Although great craft is everywhere now, today really makes me appreciate the brewing talent coming out of the great city of Chicago.

By the way, this one brings bright ripe tangelo, big ripe concord grape, navel orange flesh and pith, passionfruit, lime zest, grapefruit pith, woodiness, slight weed dankness, pine resin. It has a great dry and bitter finish to it that balances out the sweeter, juicier qualities up front. Super soft and has a nice creaminess.

City Tavern, Troegs Field Study IPA

On the drive home my wife asked how my buddy Teddy was. My daughter asked “Who’s Teddy?”
“Teddy is a poker playing dog who eats pizza and smokes cigarettes”
@HoppingMadMonk OMG the nerve, the mouth…. If she only knew Teddy snowblowed the driveway, delivered Meals On Wheels to the old couple up the block, and won $42 on Keno Bar at OTB. I’m still smarting!

True Anomaly Wheels Stop. One of the better Brett and foeder Saisons around IMO.


Normally my pupper is out in the courtyard with me, but mid 50's is way to cold for him ha. It can't be hot enough for him, so during the summer he loves it (and I hate it). Anyway, he buried himself in my Grandma's blanket and won't leave ha.
