Tired Hands Brewing, Ardsmore PA

Love the candied bacon. That stuff is ridiculous. I put it on the panini I had last time I was in and it made a good sammich incredible.

 

Anyone hear when they will be releasing their bottles of Westy 13?

 

On their facebook just recently, they said this: "Westy13 has gone away on draft, but will return in bottles soon! Please don't ask when!"

So thats the best answer I can give you, haha.

 

I've been to TH a few times and always have a tough time leaving. Great beer, decent food, and cozy atmosphere. And their service is fantastic.

The last time I was there (about 2 weeks ago), I brought my GF and sister along. My sister brought her growler from Otto's up in State College and, after ordering our first round, asked the bartender if her vessel would be OK to fill when we were leaving. He responded, politely, saying no and explaining that the PLCB laws concerning growlers are vague at best; they take a "better safe than sorry" approach and don't fill growlers with other breweries' names/labels on them. Fair enough.

After taking down more than a few more rounds, we started imagining ways that we could make our growler "Tired Hands-worthy". We came up with some pretty imaginative ideas, the best of which was covering the part of the growler that said "brewery." The guys took to our cause, and tossed us a roll of tape and a marker. We made our growler magically change from "Otto's Bar & Brewery" to "Otto's BBQ Pit" and were rewarded with a jug o' delicious brew.

It made for a great picture and great end to the night. Can't wait to head back!
