So I swung in last night to pick up my order and try the draft variants.

Overall I thought it was the weakest craft variant lineup of the deep woods season. They were good, but there none that stood out as truly amazing.

I guess my rankings would go 1) Apple brandy, 2) peach brandy, 3) Sanctuary 14, 4) Sanctuary 16; but they were all pretty close together.

Same as me, but switch the Peach and Apple. I thought the Peach was extremely well done, with a perfect balance of peach and barrel. The sanctuary beers were typical sanctuary beers; either too much of something or not distinguishable from the base. Good experiments though. Finished it off with a trip to Joong Boo, which is always a wife pleaser.

Took a picture of some barrels resting. Looks like another Binnys collab and whatever DBBW and DBDM mean. Double barre something. [IMG]

the peach was the most surprising for me? I liked it way more than I expected.

The Japanese tacos on Saturday were pretty good. They weren’t particularly exotic (cheeseburger, Buffalo chicken, steak teriyaki, etc) but all were ones I would get again

Has anyone not gotten their points added their VSOR & Gravedigger orders? I still haven't gotten mine. Wonder if I messed up the Rev Rewards number, because for some reason Chrome didn't auto-populate it this time.

Check your email confirmation for your order. It displays under Order Details the rewards number which was entered on the purchase.

Rev rewards from the DW release always take a while. It’s my understanding they have to manual enter them after because they aren’t in their normal system.

Yeah, it's definitely a manual process. I just know for the previous ones this season my points had been added within 3-5 days (by Thursday-Saturday after ordering on Monday), so I was just wondering if they were still outstanding for most people or if I was an outlier.

Might just be timing of orders, my last 2 took about a month to get entered.

Wait, is the batter really frosted?:grin:
It sounds like you love this beer, and I really do as well! (cannot believe it's still available!?!)
Your description makes it sound like a pastry stout (i.e. super sweet), which I would say is not the case. One of the many things I love about Revolution is that they have stayed away from that type of beer, and not over-adjuncting (my made up term).

in my review i finally got around to doing today i did note that it isn’t overly sweet at all. just a really wonderful combination of flavors and great barrel. i get what you’re saying though from my description. it’s definitely not a pastry stout!

For me, it's all about Straight Jacket this year. Must have bought 7-8 four packs so far, and I'm on a second can today. Value for that quality is hard to beat.
