I was in Houston in 1980 something in February oysters were a $1.49 a dozen. The Captain's Half-Shell Oyster Bar and Seafood Restaurant. Shaped like a tugboat surrounded by oyster shells. Complete with a gang plank and ropes. Coors Light. I ate 3 dozen and that was the last time that happened. Two dozen is my limit.. Now they are getting closer to $20 a dozen.

 

Took the family out to the melting pot to celebrate our 24th anniversary. Sipping a na black Butte now. Cheers.

Dankful for the closer. Will work a few hours of OT tomorrow then knock out chores before 6-8 friends/kids come over for the super bowl. As a few folks have said it's nice to not have a favorite, just enjoy a great game and possible very interesting halftime show.....both my DVR's will be recording.

 

Saturday Night and I slept all day until 8PM after playing video games until 11AM. I woke up with Steg and Chuck in bed with me lol. Julia said the stray cat never came back around, so I assume the neighbors did adopt it or something. As long as I don't have to listen to it, that's fine. We are making the 5 can chili again and I got the instant pot on slow cook mode. I browned the beef under pressure, then we drained off the water and combined.


Awesome blonde ale. I need to find more stuff like this down here. Super refreshing. I am still addicted to the Mars Horizon game. It's like civilization for the space race with puzzles for the missions.
