    Agreed.

But, the vast majority of "Hazy" beers are not, actually, Hazy. They are fully turbid and murky. Would 'turbid/murky' "IPAs" sell? Of course not.

Sorry, but if you state hazy, I'm gonna knock you down if it ain't. Now, if not stated, it is a completely different set of rules

You would not be happy were I to give Ms. O $20, even once. So, I shall defer ever giving her $20.

(psst, BTW, if she knew that her price was a twenny, ya wouldn't wake up in the morning).....

For clarification: what is your definition of 'hazy'?

Mine is that a thing that is visible, but not clearly visible (like looking over water) is hazy. When you can't see through that? That's murky and turbid.

But, how successful do we think the marketing departments would be in selling "Turbid, IPAish" beers? The fact that this whole new style, which has no relation to actual IPAs is even called, and accepted as "IPA" is bullshit.

    Yet, here we are.

    Shrug.

Once it turns into particles that put me off, then I am out. Having said that, I had a few great beers that failed the eye test by a mile. They are the exceptions for sure, but very rare. I am sure you can almost think fresh squeezed & OJ and get away with it. If the flavor & nose holds up

That one was my least favorite FW Anniversary beer in recent memory. I didn't love the high tequila barrel aged beer content in it.

I can think of a few harsher ones ...

I hope everyone is ok! We just got through a rough few weeks in January with the kids so I totally understand how that goes. Hang in there.

Late to the party here, darn game got in the way, had to finish posting yesterday’s beer.

Second one from a cellar trade with @Providence - Stone Vertical Epic 08.08.08 - 2015 version, consumed February 2022.
Poured golden amber, the color of honey, with barely any head.
The aroma was lively, with what I can only think are Belgian spices or scents from the yeast. Cloves and mild pepper and anise lead.
The taste followed, with an additional tart flavor, for a brief moment vinegar like, but maybe that’s my imagination.
The feel was “sparkly” - odd for a Belgian Triple, but as it is 7 years old I wouldn’t complain. Enjoyed drinking this.
    Cheers all,
I’ll have to just rate the three that I had during the game tomorrow. No more time for me tonight, work in the morning.

I am in the process of drinking my very first Bunny With a Chainsaw. It's just OK, and I am virtually certain that the next time I am in the mood for another New England IPA that is available from Trader Joe's, it will be my second Fresh Haze.
