Not a one part question here, not "what is your all time favorite beer". Rather, think of it in two parts.

First: What is your favorite brewery. Mine is probably Founders. They (for the most part) don't make a bad beer. They have a great barrel program, and aren't all that hard to track down. I love their limited stuff, and their everyday stuff is just as good (or better)

Second: What is your favorite beer that said brewery makes (or made)? For me it is Founders Porter. Definitly the benchmark for the style (robust porter, actually). Amazing cocoa notes. Some nice levels of roast. Can drink this one all fall and winter long.

Not my overall favorite beer, but Founder's Porter is definitly my favorite beer, from my favorite brewery.

    What is yours?

I'm also on the Founders wagon. Favorite brew? Either Backwoods Bastard or Imperial Stout.

Definitely Founders and definitely Breakfast Stout for me. Haven't had the Imperial Stout yet but the Porter and Backwoods Bastard are also great.

    Victory, Victory Hopdevil.

Me too, they catered my wedding and my older sister's. Some family and friend connections too. Do you know if they're bottling the saints this spring?

They are not. Their seasonal offerings have been cut back to pave way for Headwaters production. Rrrgghh

    Major letdown...

They should have seasonals coming out of their asses in 2014 though once their expansion is fully up and running. Definitely looking forward to that. I'll just have to make the trek out to Dtown a bit more often in the mean time.

    Smuttynose Baltic Porter.

with a few more purchases I sense that it soon will be Jack Abbys and Hoponious Union.

Of all? On the whole I don't have a favourite on the basis that somewhere out there lies something better. But we have a splendid small local brewery which make a pretty close replica of what I drank in my early years of beerdom half a century ago. Which we used to sneak out and drink at lunchtime in the pub down the road from school. The teachers drank in the other room! No problems there.
It's Belvoir Brewery's Dark Horse , a 3.4% dark mild with incredible taste for the gravity , a beer which you could drink all day long without getting tired of.I know this because I've often done it
The same brewery's Star Bitter comes a very close second. Both these are replicas of Shipstone's Mild and Bitter , the brewer at Belvoir was a brewer there back in the days and knows his stuff.

Love all the beers Maine Beer Co is putting out and of those, the Peeper is just phenomenal. Not too complex, but soooo tasty
