Half Acre Brewing Co (2022)

I struck out on triple barrel catch hell but a friend was kind enough to split a can on the super bowl. I didn’t want it to end.l

 

Looks like Half Acre is hiring a "lead brewer". Is that the same as "head brewer"? Could this be their pivot to seltzers?

Saw on Twitter that Space IPA is about to hit taproom and distribution in cans. I'm excited about that. Space IPA is a nostalgic favorite of mine and I've always been happy to get it when I was at Lincoln taproom. I'll be seeking this old fashioned, bitter citrusy IPA for sure.

Also, Vallejo is coming back around. Hope that neither Space nor Vallejo get the 'hazed up' treatment like some of the other previous Half-Acre favorites of mine (Dungeons, Beer Hates Astronaut and Double Daisy Cutter, to name a few).

I would love to see any form of Dungeons returning, hazy or not. It's been well over a year since they brewed it.

Agreed. I like the hazy version too. I wouldn’t order a keg though. I couldn’t buy enough of the original

 

Enjoying Vallejo but does not seem to have the same Nelson pop which last year's release had imo. Still drinking well, as a Vallejo fan. Just not as well imo.

 

I had Space, Vuh Lay Ho, Daisy Cutter and Benthicccc tonightah and needless to say I’m feelin’ pretty goodah

 

This think this might be the best batch of vallejo I’ve ever had.

Interesting they went Coconut/Cinnamon instead of Coconut/Coffee.

 

It is the same recipe as the 2018 Double Barrel Benthic: Apple Brandy as the second barrel and coconut cinnamon instead of coconut coffee.

Side note, I just popped my last 18 bottle a couple weeks ago and it was still absolutely spectacular, had not lost any of the coconut, cinnamon or apple brandy barrel.
