Excellent set of beers and tunes yesterday @mschrei ! I have to keep my eye out for new BA Pipeworks releases. It's also my first year in a while I didn't bring home at least one six pack of A Little Crazy, my favorite Winter seasonal, as I am diligently working down my excess beer inventory, one beer per day.

My at home choice this morning is my final planned Cellaruary pull (unless I find something on the road).

    Revolution Boss Ryeway

Full review in the Cellaruary Thread. Bottom line, I feel like I'll reprise Chris Farley by saying "Remember that time Revolution released Boss Ryeway. That was awesome!".

Will return later today to celebrate Freedom Monday in Chicago.

Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for starting us off with such an excellent Brew! I don't think Revolution has ever made a bad BA stout/impy stout - I wish it were available in this area! I'm also lowering my inventory, but with a lighter selection for today's New Breakfast Beer:

I just got back from the recycling and waste center, got rid of plenty of shyte I didn’t need anymore or were just taking too much space in my place.

And now I am drinking well earned Rince Cochon Blonde, it’s sunny and mild outside. Pleasant day.

Is the bubblegum aspect of this beer true? Very curious and I’m on a kick to the point of a near future Hefeweizen haul. Almost impossible to find here unless I’m lucky enough to find a “Belgian cafe” I know of in Philly.

matter fact. Anyone have recommendations on accessible “bubblegum” beers??

It’s a very good Belgian strong pale ale. There’s something about it. As for the bubblegum aspect, yeah there’s a bit of that, it’s sweeter than Duvel or Delirium that’s for sure.

    Happy Monday early drinkers!

Did a nice 2.5 mile hike this morning, after laundry and hanging things up outside to dry...now getting some lunch ready and enjoying this tasty Helles from Wooly Pig - I have never had any "bad" beer from them!

Good Afternoon BA's. Enjoying this cool, but sunny day off from work. Forgot to pick up more beer yesterday and have to deal with what little I have in the fridge:

Platform Strawberry Cheesecake Porter. I like porters, "adjunked" porters, cheesecake, however, this isn't very good. It's malty, but too cloyingly sweet. Sad times, if only those cans for recycling (in the background of my picture) weren't empty!
    Cheers!

I don't usually use the Chimay glass (chalice) for anything but Belgian beer, but since it just needed a swish, I figured it would work well with Hopslam

That's Phil and Tony Thompson on drums. Couldn't find Black Dog from Live Aid

Good afternoon, BAs! I've found myself with some unexpected time off, so I've taken advantage to play some music today. Not a ton, but it's good to get back into the swing of things (pun not intended).

Tripping Animals Brewing -- Riding West Coast Mavericks
West coast-style double India pale ale
ABV: 8.5%; pouring temperature: 53 °F; canning data: unknown

    3.88/5 rDev -1.3%
    look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

Dark amber body, clear; sparse carbonation; relatively thin head, a bit soapy, a bit creamy; sticking rings and patches of foam cling to the glass. Nicely balanced smell of mild malt and a decent sense of pine resin. Balanced taste; semi-sweet malt base infused with a spicy, resinous note and moderate hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; feels glassy yet also has a bit of roughness on the palate; moderate dryness.

A pretty good interpretation of a west coast-style double India pale ale.
