KBS in New Jersey

Ugh, that sucks, sorry! Out of those 8 that I was able to pick up I will be lucky if I get to hold onto 3 of em because of my buddies. If you look hard enough and call around I am sure you will be able to find some. It's like anything else in that it's all in who you know. I have tried to make friends with all of the managers of the best beer stores within 40 minutes of me. This way they remember me when the rare stuff comes out.

 

I just picked up my share at two different North Jersey stores (4 bottles total @ $6.99 a piece).

I was the first customer to receive at these stores, but both lists are full/reserved. I expect them to sell out within 1 day after they call back the people who asked in advance.

 

Can you name the places? I'd rather not bother them with calls or trouble myself needlessly.

The beer manager specifically asked me not to reveal his store to the public, which I respect, especially since they're essentially out of stock with the reserved list and all.

But I can tell you that today is most likely the first day of 2012 that KBS has shown its face in North NJ stores.

 

I understand not naming them if they have stock and want their locals to get a shot. However, I find it strange to not name a place whose stock is reserved. Then, again, I don't understand a lot of things.

I guess they don't want to be inundated with calls when it doesn't matter. Most places are only getting a case or two, and the allotment has all been spoken for.

 

Yeah. Maybe I didn't make my initial message clear. I figured if I knew what places you were talking about, I could check them off the list and not waste their time or my time. That was my reasoning.

just got a 4 pack of KBS and a bomber of 75 min at Canals in south Jersey

what did they charge for each? just curious, i know further SJ gets their shipments Wed, the area I am in gets it tomorrow and i'd like to be prepared for how much damage to the pocket a 4 pack and a 75 min will do.

I haven't heard of too many places selling KBS by the 4-pack. It's usually a 1 or 2 bottle limit at $6.99 a pop.

 

just picked up 3 bottles of KBS (the max you can buy) at the bottle king in glen ridge. they are 4.99 each, i put my name on a list this morning and just got a call 20 mins ago. If anyone is local its worth giving a call and seeing if there are any more available.

 

I was also able to get 3 bottles from this Bottle King. I had put my name on a list this past Saturday. They were unsure if they were getting any so I didn't have any expectations. I was pleasantly surprised with the 3 bottle allotment.

 

Man, you guys are brutal. To the guys that are hunting this beer we don't appreciate exact locations being posted on the internet for 1000 members to see. For every one guy that posts in this thread there are 50 reading.....you can rest assured you won't get any at the place that you got it this year when you return next year....
