Not my business, but yes, it would seem to fly in the face of that label instruction. Especially for a beer that has what is added to it and why that instruction is there in the first place.

 

I think it's exactly your business. That's the whole purpose of this forum. If CK logged in enough, we'd ask him directly, and if someone knew as to why they chose to do that, then someone would speak up. In the face of that, there's really no reason why we shouldn't be offering such feedback. The forum is made for discussion - positive, negative, and questions.

 

I meant not my business in that SP can do as they please, it's their business/brewery. Of course I can offer my opinion and question why it's labeled to drink fresh and consume within a stated timeframe, but then be sold again a year later well outside of that timeframe.

 

Of course. Short of angry beer nerds being jealous that we didn't get a bottle of XYZ, I think we all agree none of us believe it is our business. Very respectful, as always, Matt.

Dammit I missed it last time OF went for sale! Wish they would put some online, I love that one!

 

Man they are really trying to move some inventory with these weekly to-go packages. Oude Ferm was 2pp and $75 per package out of the brewery with plenty left around 6pm when I left yesterday. I am waiting for them to sell sixtels of Oude Fermier one of these random Mondays.

 

If only my wife didn't have our baby boy, 5 months old and needing a lot of attention, I'd be down at SP every 2 weeks. Some poor planning on my part.

 

man it looks like they made a huge one on firestones system! i imagine this will get a pretty big release considering the system they are brewing on yea? or is this the one that will end up being the on dropping in the FW club? id imagine that one should be in barrels right now if it was tho right? (second to the left) a collab stout is supposed to drop in October for club members.
