    I ordered Canadian bacon on a pizza in Vancouver BC once, and got a pizza with strips of bacon on it. I don't think they had any idea what I was asking for.

    Isn't what the US calls Canadian Bacon called Back Bacon in Canada? Maybe they were fucking with you on a technicality.

    It isn’t called Canadian Bacon here. Usually back bacon.

    ‘Canadian Pizza,’ at least in Ontario and Quebec is usually topped with Mozzarella, regular bacon, mushrooms and green peppers.

    I left early to collect the children from school and did a little shopping. Some of this will be travelling to a state touched by the waters of one the USA’s ten longest rivers.

    Convoluted hint?
    What's my target's name? Can't say. But it has a similarity to a late uncle of mine who wrote an alcohol-related column for decades in a newspaper. Said paper was the primary print media entity in the area I grew up, an area I am travelling to today. Later today, there may be some scattered breadcrumbs on BA as to where that area is.

    Hint #9: In a shocking development, my target has not reviewed a beer from Dovetail Brewing (one of my favorite breweries here in Chicago). That will definitely change after they finish drinking all the beers I send their way.
