NBS BIF #15 Hints and Hauls: Was it Over When the Canadians Bombed BIF #14? HELL NO!

OK, I didn't update my Mariners BIF yesterday. On Thursday they actually won a game against the Guardians, 3-2. I know it's not much, but, hey, It's the freakin' GOMs we're talking aboot here.

That brings total number of Mariner runs scored all the way to 9.

Now tonight (Friday), somehow these magical wizards scored 3 more runs, and, DID NOT ALLOW A SINGLE POINT!!!!! (Note, this will likely be the high water point of the M's season.) If you're mathing at home, out of the 6 games scheduled for this week, 2 remain.

As of this very moment, the M's have scored 12 runs.

I'm starting to suspect that @FBarber , @colts9016 , @Whyteboar , @WunderLlama , and @Roy_Hobbs aren't going to win this thing. But, hey!, maybe Ichiro! comes out of retirement, and........

Today's hint is a little early. I doubt it had anything to do with my visit to a local brewery last night, but I didn't sleep particularly well. Wait, was that a haul hint?

hint 1: shipping west and have never shipped to my target before

hint 2: my target State has both a hockey and baseball team but not their city . Their city or state may have other professional sports franchises or maybe it doesn’t

 

I'm already out on hint #1, and #2 for that matter...

 

Trying to figure this out is making my head hurt, and to make it worse I know it has to be hiding in plain site.

 

It was a lot of that last night but more this, this

Out on hint 2, even if Province and State are interchangeable. ☹️

my 1st box I was planning was going to be a loaded with single brewery but a copious amount of differnt styles, this brewery is based in my state and close my city and highly regarded on BA


To my target, do not like this post if you would be disappointed by a box representing a single brewery.

 

Ah dang it

 

I’m planning to send out the first box on Monday, assuming I can get out shopping to get some more fresh cans by then.

My wife left me last night for a weekend with her mother at a spa in the country, leaving me with twins duty until Monday evening. I’m trying to get the kids excited by a brewery visit this afternoon, but so far, I’m having little luck. Apparently parks are more fun!?

Nevertheless, box one will be filled with more of the darker and/or fruitier bottles that keep well for longer anyway. Heck, at least one of the bottles can be opened and closed repeatedly without issue! I’m sure I can make it work!

Another hint: My target’s State has fewer letters in its name than the Province of my birth. The Province of my birth is not the Province in which I currently live. Some of you will already know which Province I am referring to. My target will not, but might be able to decipher it from some of my soggy thread posts so far this round.

 

Being double out is like a double negative, right? I'm back in?

 

Bad news/good news. The bad: My kids are not budging on the ‘NO DADDY’ response to brewery visits today and tomorrow.

The good: I just got an unexpected surprise email from the local importer of a well regarded lambic producer that pre-orders on a 3-pack of a well regarded Gueuze just opened. I quickly placed an order, and one of those bottles will now go into your box. Target, you’ve never rated or reviewed a beer from this brewery, but your ratings of other beers from well regarded lambic makers suggest this will be a welcome addition to your box (that was a hint).

Now, depending on when I actually get it, it may need to wait for a seat in the second box. If you’re lucky, it will arrive at the same time as some long ago ordered fruited lambic from another well regarded producer that should be landing in the coming weeks. I don’t have enough room for all of it, or so my wife tells me, so…

 

You need to work on your marketing. Tell them you're going on a snipe hunt, and snipes were reportedly seen at (insert all the places you want to go).

Of course, if breweries would just put in playgrounds, today’s problem would be solved.

 

Or if playgrounds would start selling beer. We may be onto something here. I'm confident that regardless of where you live in the country, there's some sort of neighborhood / town Facebook group that would wholeheartedly approve of the idea*.

*One of my kids (college age) pretty much only goes on Facebook to she can laugh at the faux drama that gets stirred up in these groups.
