I live in Southern Indiana. It's not here.

Two stores in Louisville had it. I bought them up after making the trek to the pub to get a case at release.

Use the distribution beer finder on the FFF site. It actually works. Search by whatever zip code and it shows all stores and what they have. And I've noticed the beer doesn't get listed til it's actually at the store

Also use untappd beer finder. But not all stores are untapped verified so the FFF distribution section on their site is your best friend

None of southern Indiana where I'm at got crushing mass or cocomungo. I noticed these big releases are hitting cincinnati before anywhere else.

Louisville got both, strange I live 10 min north of Louisville in Indiana and we got none of either. Luckily I can make a few min drive to Louisville and get it.

People out there aren't paying attention either, 3 weekends in a row I hit the two Louisville stores that got Cocomungo and bought two packs at each location til they were gone.

The nailed that beer. Well done especially considering I don't like coconut or maple in my beer. Even without the pub and expanded distribution, their quality hasn't dropped off a bit

Speed Castle is nice. Touches all of the bases for a pilsner and is accessible to your backyard dad budweiser type of drinker too

I didn’t want to get caught shorthanded like I did with Crushing Mass so I hit my local bottle shop for more Cocomungo. Good stuff.

Really have enjoyed Cocomungo but I'm more of a barleywine guy and Pillar of Beasts is available again at the kiosk, so I'm guessing it should be in stores in another week or so. I like both but I think I prefer Pillar over BA Behemoth. Just a reminder that their good stuff is really, really good stuff.

Cocomungo and Crushing Mass are great, and I always love BA Behemoth. I've never tried Pillar of Beasts, but I'm really going to try to pick some up this year. These FFF barrel aged 4-packs are great beers at a great price.

Side Project is releasing a 375ml beer for $60.

I doubt it's 10 times better than any of these 3 Floyds barrel aged beers, but the pricing would suggest otherwise. I'll never find out, but I find the contrast interesting, as 3 Floyds was among the first breweries to charge premium pricing for this style beer. We've come full circle.

Maybe they have figured the demand and supply curve out better for mass distribution-you can make more money selling $25 4 packs to more people than $50 750ml bottle to a few people willing to pay that.

You convinced me. I had already made a second trip once to buy more Cocomungo, but today I made a third one and grabbed a couple of more 4-packs. It's too easy and .... good.

I finally landed a 4-pack of cocomunga in S Indiana (@Warren2621 ) last Thursday. I drank one that night, and then had my second tonight.

The first night I was unimpressed. The second night more impressed, but I think it still fails to meet my expectations due to the hype in this thread. Here's my take:

Thin (certainly more thin than BCBS, a good benchmark). Some barrel, but not heavy barrel (again, maybe 1/3 or 1/2 of BCBS). I got no obvious maple syrup (yay). Balanced sweetness. Coconut is not heavy, and is well incorporated. The ABV is sneaky.

Personally, I wouldn't really call this a coconut stout. The coconut isn't strong enough for me to be reminded that it is a coconut stout. Instead, I think it is just a fairly well done stout (that happens to use coconut, accenting the barrel). Best part: very easy to drink.

Without breaking it down by category, I'd give it a 4.3ish. If price was a factor, it'd be a 4.5.

I'm kind of over the whole THICCER IS BETTER concept with stouts, particularly since most of today's hype seems to be achieved by lactose-laden recipes that don't even disclose it. But I didn't think Cocomungo was thin. I thought it had a moderate body, which I appreciate more these days for drinkability, and also allowing more clarity of expression.

I have three more bottles so I'm curious to check in on them over the coming weeks and recalibrate, but I thought the coconut was more present than I was expecting. But maybe that played into it. If you were expecting a floater filled Coco Vibes or Blessed sort of monstrosity because of all our praise, I could see why this would seem less than.

I can give you moderate body. It felt thin, but if we are on a scale of 1 (thin) to 10 (thick), where 1 is appreciably close to water and 10 is BCBS (only used as a reference point, since it is has a thicker body among the non-THICC category stouts), I could give you a 4 - 6 rating, yea.

Regarding the coconut: I love coconut. Truly. And not just in beer. That said, in beer (time and time again) it seems that I am not as “sensitive” to this adjunct as others. So, while I really appreciate and enjoy that overloaded coconut flavor in Cocovibes and the heavy coconut presence in Benthic this year, I wasn’t expecting that in this beer, but I did expect more. I just didn’t really get a noticeable amount of coconut. Mostly I just tasted a well-incorporated milky-malty chocolate that has been lightened by vanilla/coconut flavors that weren’t very distinguishable.

To make one final comparison: I got more vanilla in Vanilla Deth than I got coconut in cocomunga. -And, for my palate, I thought the vanilla in VDT was a too light (although I understand that is what they were going for). The vanilla in VDT was similarly incorporated rather than being a “yea, I get vanilla every sip” kind of a beer. I think Cocomunga is a superior beer to VDT.

I know, right? I'm sick of these feminine beers! I need more masculinity! So I picked up a Cocomungo - way better!

The love fest for Cocomungo finally made me go out and buy some. Getting a friend to agree to split with me helped (I usually avoid maple stuff for the most part). It's a very nice BA stout at a solid price point. Was definitely glad the maple is very subdued. In the end, I'm more of a Crushing Mass guy myself though. Either way, I fully endorse these well done, affordable BA beers from FFF.

Let the BA stout series continue. A possible BA stout release on the horizon. Seems this was on draft/available in howlers @ the brewery last year.

Gotta 3 eyed Sloth happening in the middle there too. Thought this was gonna be aged on Baby Ruth's when I saw that picture.
