What beer are you drinking now? #3458

New place for us, and the closest brewery to us, located in the “10th most boring place in Virginia” according to the brewery’s quote from a 2015 real estate posting. We’re not going to put up much of an argument.



Bunny Man Brewing is a self-pour place, so decided to get a feel for some of their offerings with small pours: west and NE IPAs, a Kölsch and Hefe.

The Kölsch is buttered a little too strongly, IMO, but I kinda like it. Hefe and NE IPA are decent. West Coast is old school bitter, but seems a little straightforward. Worthy enough beers to warrant a return visit.

Well, I was going to spend this beautiful afternoon out in the courtyard with the pupper. But the city is doing massive construction right outside my gate. Which means its really loud and dust is flying everywhere. My pupper can't stand it, and I can't really either ha.

So to combat that, spinning some Ornette, lots and lots of Ornette



First up Spencer Trappist Ale, spinning At the Golden Circle. Love this album.

 

Gonna clean up the garage. Gonna take another Hamms or 5. Cheers!

I got this glass in one of my first trades with @jzeilinger this glass has seen some amazing suds over the years. It is amazing how many breweries have opened since joining BA. This stuff is pretty darn tasty.

Skulls and Femurs American pils 5% - Odd Muse
Starting today with nother new edition to Odd Muse's lager line up. Fuck this 1 is my favorite craft lager I have tasted to. Flawless imo. Hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe. Bummer I only grabbed 1 to try. Will be grabbing more for sure. Cheers!

 

Newport Nights from Rogue. What an ImpIPA was 20 years ago. I like it.

 

Just saw on the BBC news an interview with David Gilmore, where he said he was stunned to see a military man with a machine over his shoulder singing a-capella in a Kiev square. He said he recognized the man, he was the backup band’s singer in a fund raising concert he did in Belarussia a few years back. BBC interviewed the singer, he said he cancelled his band’s tour to fight for his country…

Pineapple Resin...

9.1% abv "hazy" IPA from Sixpoint...

Really good stuff - very NEIPA-ish, with sweet pineapple and dank pine - a take on their Resin IPA featuring Idaho-7 and Bru-1 hops... Basically exactly what I'd hoped for and expected - not too sweet, ample stickiness and bitter shellac on the finish - very smooth and soft, amply carbonated, very drinkable, very enjoyable... Best by canning of 9/7/22...

This sour from my favorite local Kettlehead is pretty impressive. I remember purchasing this glass. I needed the glass and was pretty sure I was not going to be a fan of the beer. I did not like the beer, but I have slowly started to enjoy sours once in awhile. This one is pretty darn tasty and I never thought I would appreciate this style.
