I’ve had em all - I’ll stand by my statement. There’s something about “just plain ole” Anabasis, BBT, and other non-adjunct bangers that hit the spot. Still enjoy adjuncts, but less so in barleywine.

I think it was the founding father Patrick Henry that said, “give me Anabasis or give me death”. Pretty sure that was the quote.

If Side Project & Shared dropped BBT and BACSV annually, I'd be absolutely stoked. As far as I'm concerned, those are jewels in the crowns of both breweries. Anabasis being the third annual drop would be the dream line-up. Everything else is gravy.

I get the desire for new, but in this case, I'd take tried & true releases. These three beers tick nearly all the boxes I ask for in beer. And I'd be more likely to pick them up over collaborations / double barrel work if the original three stay a reasonable price.

STL is becoming a barleywine desert. I don't know why. They sell out instantly. Is it more difficult (or more expensive) to make a barleywine than a stout?

Agreed, I’ve seen some dissenting reviews but I really liked how b2 / 2020 came out and would love for a new batch to come out

D9 all day. The Invitational was a great reminder that I really don’t care for D12 much

There's 2,325 bottles of Motuekain the online shop. So, you're definitely going to be getting a package with 2 of these at some point (likely the near future).

All joking aside, doesn't it seem odd for there to be so much of a $20 pale ale? Surely this is going to sit for a long time, right? That seems counter to the idea of how the brewer would expect that beer to be consumed. Right? I'm no hop head, but that seems right.

I think that DH Saisons last a lot longer in quality than a typical hopped Pale Ale . The previous batch of Single Farm Nelson Saison which I believe is 9 months old at this point is still quite delicious.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure if this was technically a saison since it is a “farmhouse pale ale”, and wasn’t sure how that affected the lasting hop presence. Appreciate the info.

I can’t believe we live in a world where we’re getting two BA Ambientes before another BA Coco Vibes and people think West Ashley Cuvée is good.
