    I really need to visit the brewery based on all these recs, because the stuff I’ve gotten in cans has all been a little underwhelming re: DL

    I wouldn’t go over the top on DL, just found for my mileage, I preferred them over TB. I dislike sours or smoothie beers too so maybe that inherently biases me. FTR, I don’t think either brewery significantly moves the needle, but I do appreciate DL’s constant experimenting with foeders and diverse styles much more than the usual IPA, smoothie, pastry stout factory.

    Agree with Chuck. For the record, I've spent many afternoons hanging out at both breweries and I think both are fantastic. Tin Barn just hits on 2 notes which a lot of breweries do nowadays. Drowned Lands has more styles on tap.

    I think Drowned Lands average hazy hits a bit below Tin Barn's average hazy, but Drowned Lands pushes the envelope more. For me most of their stuff runs middle of the pack, but then they have these random stand-outs. One of my favorite beers by them was Fern a Farmhouse IPA. It had this weird funkiness to it that I really enjoyed, and I only got to try it because they had it on tap. I got like 3 pours that day.

    Thinking I might make the trip up to Albany on a Wednesday to visit Fidens, then make my way down back to NYC via 2 or 3 of the other breweries (exactly which ones will depend on what's released) over the following few days.

    Also ordered the Green City beer package, and may even go to the festival. How likely are Friday tickets to sell out?

    That's just Rozzom being Rozzom, but the real answer is nobody knows. This is the first year (iirc) that OH has done Green City across 2 days with one day being a work day.

    Exactly! First two day event. First weekday. Three year hiatus since last Green City. Tail end of a pandemic. Nobody has a clue. If it sounds appealing you should buy tickets @Prhino

    @Xerlic @rozzom

    Fair enough. I guess I just wondered what happened in previous years that it took place.

    Think I'll hold off for now, and hope they announce when tickets are running low and make my decision.
