I'm going with my family to Las Vegas in a few weeks. Some of my younger kids (all adults now) want to eat at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, so I was looking at the menus to see what they have. On the Gordon Ramsay Burger menu, burgers are about $20 give or take--which is fine for a fun experience. My problem is $11 for a Coors Light, Corona, Michelob Ultra, etc. Have some dignity, Gordon! Don't sell gas station beer for $11!

I told my wife no way would I pay that much for bad beer, and she pushed back and told me we're there to have fun and I better not say anything about what things cost. I'm sure I'll foot the bill for everyone to step up to one of the $13-$15 beers just to get something decent. And that's why he gets away charging that much.

Love Gordon, but his opinions on beer have always been disappointing. Thinks it’s all pretty much the same

I wouldn't even dream of setting foot in an establishment that charges me $11 for shitty beer, or any beer for that matter. That is beyond insane, if he tried to pull that shit in Germany that place would be out of business by the end of the month.

I could never stand the man, he's a twat and a bully and the continued success of his awful TV shows is completely beyond me. You know what, they should do an edition of Hell's Kitchen where all the contestants are boxers and MMA fighters. I'd watch that, would love to see that coward try to belittle and bully those people around. About time he got his comeuppance.

Its a celebrity restaurant in Vegas, the definition of a place to avoid. Just like anything from Guy Fieri, just avoid, you can thank me later.

Yes, lots of good food available in Vegas, the first problem was going to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant.

What does a beer go for at a bundesliga match?

This is not at all shocking considering Gordon Ramsey's feeling towards beer.

I'd just skip the beer with dinner and drink something nice later at the hotel room.

Ha--I went to a Guy Fieri restaurant in Orlando (Chicken Guy at Disney Springs). Worst chicken I've ever had--would have been much better off going to Chick-fil-a or Zaxby's.

You mean at a stadium? I have no idea, I don't watch soccer, but a quick internet search tells me that it's between 3.90 - 4.40€ for a half litre, only a little above normal restaurant prices on average. And yes, if they started charging the equally insane! prices that beer costs at American football stadiums, those would be empty too. There'd be riots in the streets.

Vegas is a destination town for business meetings and conventions. Wonder how many of Ramsey's patrons are on a business account.

I imagine Gordon Ramsay having a very lengthy conversation with St Peter who is explaining to him why he will not be admitted into heaven. After a couple of hours and at the end of the long list St Peter says, "oh, and you charge too darn much for beer".

@FBarber beat me to it. Skip drinking beer at dinner and drink beer later.

Beer menu isn’t bad. About the price I would expect to pay for a 20oz pour at a restaurant like that. And the Gordon Ramsey we see today on American TV is a product of what we’ve created based on what Americans want to see (swearing, failing, yelling, fighting, demoralizing, etc) and what gets higher ratings. Check out old episodes of the British filmed Kitchen Nightmares. He’s much more humble, helpful, sensitive and passionate. At one point he had 17 Michelin stars (think he has 7 now). Most chefs would give up their first-born for just one. Like him or not, dude is a legit chef. He just makes bank being a clown in the circus of American media.

Maybe Gordon is related to one of the BrewDog dudes!?!

In case there are some fans of Gordon's persona: Piers Morgan is back. His new show is Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Come to think of it, James Watt, Martin Dickie, Gordon Ramsey and Piers Morgan all have one thing in common: they are all British.

    A coincidence!?!

    Cheers!
