I saw DT at $24 and Straight Jacket at $27.

Edit Both superb for price and taste.

Pretty sure brewery prices were (are?) $25 for Deth and SJ, and Cafe is $32.

At the brewery, Deth & SJ are $25, while Cafe is $30.

Ryeway, Dark Mode, & Gravedigger are also $30, with the rest of the variants going for $40 (VSOR was $50, but no longer available).

At Binny's, Deth & SJ are also $25, but the other 4 variants that make it to distribution have higher pricing: Cafe $33, Ryeway $34, Vanilla & Maple both $46.

Binny's charging more than MSRP on various beers is pretty much standard procedure these days...

The price AND availability of those two world class beers just can’t be matched. We’re spoiled in Chicago, glad they making their way elsewhere.

Any whispers of a pre summer deep wood release similar to Cuvee de Grace last year?

Cuvée de Grace was a spring release. No hints yet. The summer DW release last year was VSOJ and Strawberry Jacket. The year before was Mixed Berry Ryeway and Supermassive Cafe Deth. The year before that was Honey and Strawberry Jacket.

so maybe? Hopefully? Looks like they are setting up that summer release to happen every year.

Yep, Cuvee was mid April and then don't forget Supermassive was also released with VSOJ and Strawberry Jacket last July, so maybe we'll get three again this year!

Had some Medusa Hero at beer cellar Geneva last weekend. Damn that’s a good beer. Huge stonefruit while still staying true to qualities that define the anti hero series

Also had a pour of VSOJ, and it’s still awesome. The most surprising beer I tried was the Freedom lemonade. That may become a guilty pleasure beer for me going forward. I ordered it just to say I tried it, but I’ll be back for more on 4th of July

There were hints in the past months from Rev that something is coming soon.
Here are the exact brewery release dates that @monstershu and @darkwing1 were referring to that fall outside of the typical Deep Wood releases that are released October - January:
    7/19/2019 - Strawberry Jacket
    7/19/2019 - Honey Jacket
    6/19/2020 - Supermassive Café Deth
    7/17/2020 - Mixed Berry Ryeway
    9/18/2020 - Thundertaker
    4/16/2021 - Cuvee De Grace
    7/16/2021 - Strawberry Jacket
    7/16/2021 - Supermassive Café Deth
    7/16/2021 - VSOJ
9/16/2021 - On & On Part II (Half Acre)

Thanks, that’s good stuff. I always viewed Thundertaker as a “preview” to the 20/21 season. After a little perusing, ABV may be just as misinformed as I am, or maybe my memory can still pull some miracles sometime: http://www.abvchicago.com/revolution-brewing-thundertaker/

Yep - that's right - Thundertaker was the first release of that "Deep Wood season", as described on their lineup page: https://revbrew.com/the-2020-2021-deep-wood-series
Thundertaker was originally scheduled to be released in April 2020, but I think it was COVID that pushed it back.

It just occurred to me that I still don’t know/remember what that collab was. That was during a particularly busy/difficult time period for us, and one where I wasn’t in a position to be buying beer anyway, and so I pretty much hid from BA. Out of sight, out of mind.

It was a collaboration with Binnys. Binnys supplied barrels from their Buffalo Trace and Blantons store picks. Both of which have come out “recently”.

Rev supplied the new stout base, which has been found in one or two blends since.

So, was that beer worthy of being a secret collab and hid till the end?

Were you referring to the 'TBA Collaboration' in the above image? This was On & On: Part 1, the collaboration with Half Acre. It ended up being released along with Apple Brandy Ryeway.

Thundertaker brought the "thunder". Fresh it was a top three Revolution stout that I have drank and I don't miss many deep woods series beers. It's a shell of it's self now(for my personal tastes of course...). Very sweet the last can I opened of Thundertaker which was back on 8/3/21.

It's not that old, and I haven't perceived much decline since the initial release - it was pretty sweet from the start compared to Deth's Tar. The last can I had was this past fall, and I thought it was still one of my favorite Deep Woods beers. I'm hoping for some sort of return or at least another stout with that base, and saving a can for a side by side.
