Description of every 6th Anniversary beer releasing happening this week from newsletter sent out earlier today.

All of these beers will be released in person at all locations starting Tuesday April 26 unless otherwise noted. Some of them are in very limited supply. Draft of each brand will be available at all locations when the bottles are released.


STOUTS AND BARLEYWINES
Wake of Vultures is a brand new black Barleywine aged in a blend of Buffalo Trace bourbon, Cognac, and Laird’s apple brandy barrels for 20 months. Inky black like a stout, but drinks more like a Barleywine with notes of oaky marshmallow vanillin, roasted almond, cola, and well-done croissant. 13% ABV

Bourbon Circle of Wolves is our beloved bourbon barrel-aged Barleywine aged for 29 months in Weller and Buffalo Trace barrels. Caramel cola vibes plus notes of bourbon soaked raisins. 12.8% ABV

Almond Date Bourbon Circle of Wolves is our beloved Barleywine aged in Buffalo Trace and Weller bourbon barrels for 29 months conditioned on toasted almonds and dates. Rich notes of cakey desserts with a welcomed natural sweetness. Pour this over ice cream. 12.8% ABV

Double Barrel Bourbon Lovers Sleeping Forever is an Imperial Stout Aged in bourbon barrels for 1 year then aged again in bourbon barrels for 2 more years. Amazing impressions of baking chocolate and bourbon on the rocks. 16.5% ABV

Hollow Place Mélange Grand Cru is an Imperial Stout aged in a blend of bourbon, Laird's apple brandy, Danish cherry wine, and Cognac barrels for 30-39 months conditioned on chocolate sandwich cookies, coconut, Madagascar vanilla, and black truffles. Intense notes of chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting, chocolate-covered pretzels, and melted fudge. Our favorite expression of Hollow Place yet. 13% ABV

Pappie Power Bourbon Sleeping Forever is an Imperial Stout Aged In Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels for 16 months. Our beloved anniversary beer aged in some of the best bourbon barrels in the world. Notes of dark chocolate covered espresso beans, pleasant oak, wheated bourbon, and marshmallow. 13.0% ABV

Grand Pappie Power Bourbon Sleeping Forever is an Imperial Stout aged in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels for 16 months conditioned with plump Ugandan and Papua New Guinea vanilla beans, Vietnamese cinnamon, and incredible Dominican cacao nibs from Videri Chocolate. Notes of smooth creamy vanillin, bright cacao nibs, and incredible wheated bourbon barrel character. 13% ABV

Eternal Slumber 2022 is an Imperial Stout aged in a hand-selected blend of Buffalo Trace bourbon, French Cognac, Laird’s apple brandy, and BliS maple syrup barrels conditioned on raw and toasted coconut, Thai banana chunks, Virgina wildflower honey, and dried pineapple chunks. Deep and decadent notes of vanilla frosting, chocolate covered bananas, Edible Arrangements, and Piña Colada. 13% ABV

Cognac Sleeping Forever is an Imperial Stout aged in French Cognac barrels for 16 months. This blend accentuates perfectly refined oak, cherry cola, and warming caramel spice notes. The last time we released Cognac SF was in 2019. 13% ABV

Apple Brandy Sleeping Forever is an Imperial Stout aged in Laird's apple brandy barrels for 16 months. This version of Sleeping Forever displays rich notes of sweet cherries and an almond nuttiness. 13% ABV

Walnut Hazelnut Vanilla Bourbon Sleeping Forever is an Imperial Stout aged In E.H. Taylor bourbon barrels for 16 months conditioned on toasted walnuts, toasted hazelnuts, and plump Madagascar vanilla beans. Deep impressions of walnut cake and Nutella. Peanut M&Ms. 13% ABV

Maple Double Stuffed Bourbon Sleeping Forever is an Imperial Stout aged in BLiS maple bourbon barrels for 16 months conditioned on double stuffed chocolate sandwich cookies. Refined notes of creamy cookie milk and waffles with maple syrup all culminating into an amazing SF variation. 13% ABV

Toffee Marshmallow Brownie Bourbon Sleeping Forever is an Imperial Stout aged in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels for 16 months conditioned with toffee, marshmallow, and brownie batter. Tastes like health bar brownies with a mallow topping. Indulgent yet well balanced. 13% ABV

Double Barrel Apple Brandy Bourbon Booberry Pie Sleeping Forever is an Imperial Stout aged in Laird's apple brandy & bourbon barrels for 13 months conditioned on cereal, blueberries, blueberry pie filling, milk sugar & marshmallow then aged in bourbon barrels again for 12 more months. Deliciously refined after another year of aging, with notes of blueberry pom juice and a soft marshmallowy finish. 14% ABV

Very Special Eternal Slumber 2022* (Norfolk Friday April 29th release only) is our Anniversary Imperial Stout aged in a blend of bourbon, French Cognac, Laird’s apple brandy, and BLiS maple barrels conditioned on double coconut (raw and toasted), Thai banana, Virginia wild flower honey, pineapple, nutmeg, rum soaked Tahitian vanilla beans, and birch syrup. Rich vibes of decadent banana bread, moist fruit cake, and sugar cookie dough with frosting. 13% ABV

Double Vanilla Almond Date Bourbon Circle of Wolves* (Scott's Addition Friday April 29th release only) is our beloved Barleywine aged in Weller and Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels for 29 months conditioned on double vanilla(Madagascar), toasted Marcona almonds, and whole pitted dates. Oversaturated flavors of cherry cola, marshmallow fluff, vanilla cake, and sticky date desserts. 12.8% ABV

Double Vanilla Wake of Vultures* (Forest Hill Friday April 29th release only) is our brand new Black Barleywine aged in Buffalo Trace bourbon, French Cognac, and Laird’s apple brandy barrels for 20 months conditioned on double vanilla (Tahitian and Papua New Guinea). Delicious dark fruit driven flavor from our base Black Barleywine with added creaminess and cherry-like vanilla complexity. 13% ABV


WILD BOTTLES
Curtains: X (Hudson Valley Brewing Co. Collab) is a beautiful collaboration Mixed Fermentation Saison brewed with our friends at Hudson Valley Brewery. Brewed in May of 2019, this is the 10th iteration of Curtains, our ongoing Hudson Valley Brewing collaboration. Brewed with spelt, Pilsner malt, raw wheat, and noble hops then aged in oak barrels for 18 months with a blend of our respective house cultures. After aging we blended the best barrels onto Virginia Viognier wine grapes from Flying Fox Wines, package-conditioned for 17 months. Tasting notes of pear, pineapple, honeysuckle, and oaked white wine. 9.3% ABV

Run to You (Fonta Flora Collab) is a blonde Mixed Fermentation Saison brewed with our NC friends at Fonta Flora Brewing into our rooftop koelschip one day in January of 2020. This pre-pandemic beer was mashed with Spelt, Rye, Wheat, and Malted Oats, lightly hopped, then pumped into our koelschip onto freshly split Virginia pine logs! After overnight cooling and inoculation via the cool night air we racked the beer into oak barrels for fermentation and aging at our wild facility. A year or so later we hand-selected and blended three barrels onto North Carolina pine branches and whole leaf Cascade hops. Delicate, unique, and subtle notes of vanillin, pine bark, and Christmas tree sap with a gentle acidity. 6% ABV

With Haste (Garage Project Collab) is a brand new collaboration beer with Garage Project Brewing out of New Zealand! Brewed back in 2019, it’s a Mixed Fermentation Ale fermented and aged in oak barrels with a blend of Saison yeast, wild yeast, our house culture, and a really awesome culture captured by Garage Project from wild hop bines and flowers in New Zealand. We dry-hopped the final product with New Zealand Motueka and Nelson Sauvin from Freestyle Hops. Unique and delicious with notes of juicy green grapes and zesty citrus. 5.8% ABV

Beautiful You (Eating Bird Food Collab) is a brand new collaboration beer with Brittany of Eating Bird Food, our favorite holistic nutrition expert and good friend. The beer we created together back in 2018 is a gluten free Mixed Fermentation beer conditioned on Merlot wine grapes! Brewed with Pale Millet Malt and Flaked Quinoa, we lightly hopped this beer then put it into brand new red wine barrels for fermentation and aging with a faithful blend of Saison and wild yeasts. After aging we blended the best barrels onto local Merlot grapes from Flying Fox Wines. Time has developed this beer into something truly beautiful along the line of a very clean and soft summer wine. 6.2% ABV

CANS
Street Shredder (7% ABV) is a brand new collaboration IPA brewed with our great friends at Trillium Brewing. American 2-row, flaked oats, and malted wheat make up mash. Hopped in even amounts with fresh Amarillo, Galaxy, and Mosaic hops. Notes of juicy pineapple fruit cups, super smooth and crushable for the Anni.

Chill Bday³ (8% ABV) is a triple dry-hopped DIPA brewed with Citra, Galaxy, Enigma, Mosaic, Motueka, El Dorado, Simcoe, Wakatu, and Nelson! Sort of a mash-up of Supernatural Creature and Mega Beast Freak, both anniversary beers from the past. Creamy hop flavors of exotic tropical fruit with a hint of fresh citrus. It’s our birthday we just want to chill.

whiteferrari: Enhanced (8% ABV) The same amazing Galaxy and Citra hopped DIPA as whiteferrari, but with our proprietary *enhanced* brewing techniques to make it extra special and delicious. Extremely drinkable, soft, pleasant and well integrated flavor. Velvety and full bodied with impressions of soft white peach, melon, and grapefruit.

We We Ded Ded: Enhanced (11% ABV) is the DDH, *enhanced* version of our 100% Citra hopped Triple IPA. Delicious impressions of smooth saturated apricot, mango, passion fruit, and juicy melon.

Sleeping Forever (12%) is our Anniversary Imperial Stout. Brewed fresh and packaged with a small portion of 12 month old Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel aged Sleeping Forever blended in to add depth. Sleeping Forever is a full bodied, silky, and thick experience of rich chocolate, very complex malt, and caramelized sugar. This batch has incredible rich tobacco and leather notes.

In Sink (Friday Release) (9% ABV) is back! This quadruple dry-hopped Double IPA is a collaboration beer last brewed with Monkish Brewing back in 2017! Absolutely stuffed with Galaxy(Henry’s favorite hop), Mosaic, Citra, Citra Lupulin Powder, Mosaic Lupulin Powder and Simcoe Lupulin Powder.

 

@TurkeysDrinkBeer Are they doing flights now? I only thought they only did half / full pours but saw a bunch of posts of these stemless glasses, which I don't recall ever seeing though it's been a while since I visited and that looked like they may be 4-5oz pours.

 

Thanks. I just looked at their menu on the site and do see they have the 6oz pours for stouts. Guess it's been so long since I've been there that I don't recall those glasses, only the stemmed ones. I figured it was a build your own flight still with the small pours.

 

For those planning to go to NFK Friday for scratchers Veil staff accidentally handed out some by mistake on Tuesday so instead of 50 they will only have 36 in NFK tomorrow. Someone made a comment about it on IG and Veil responded with that info.

" There was a miscommunication with [NFK] staff and a few scratches were handed out but there will 36 handed on Friday at open. Sorry for that inconvenience."

We are beyond excited to welcome back Forever Summer Festival 2022'!

After a long three year break, we welcome you back to join us and our friends at Child Savers, our annual local beneficiary for this once a year charitable event.

All proceeds for this event will go to ChildSavers. For the kids. Click here www.childsavers.org to find out more about this Wonderfull organization.

Forever Summer is an intimate festival that we bring to you were you can come, relax and enjoy every beer that is available. This event will be broken up into three sessions, A-B & C. There will be 175 ticketes sold per each session. Everyone will get a 3oz pour of all (number of beers.)

UPON ARRIVAL
You'll be receiving your event glass with 3oz marker, a special bottle of Starve: E for you to take home with you and a beer map to help navigate the event. The menu card lists each beer and will be checked off by our volunteers when you receive that beer. We'll have rinse stations/dump buckets throughout the festival to sprusen up your glass for the next pour.

FOOD AND DRINK
You are welcome to bring in food and non alcoholic beverages. No other alcohol other than festival beer can be consumed on premise. You are allowed to bring in your (brand) bottle into the festival if you are traveling. Those bottles can not be consumed on premise.

VENDORS

We welcome you to bring in your own food to consume while enjoYing all the delicious beer.

SECURITY
Just heads up! RMC security will be checking IDs, wrist banding and checking bags at the entrance. Please have your I.D ready apon entering the festival.

RAFFLE
There will be a raffle on-site with donated bottles from many of the breweries. -All proceeds from the raffle go directly to ChildSavers and is a huge part of the donation so a big thank you in advance!

RESTROOMS
Portable restrooms will be located in the V.I.P parking lot near the tower overlook.
