Baltic Porter aged in oak barrels.

I picked one up on impulse last night but there doesn't seem to be any information on this beer at all. Is it a brand new release? There's not even a mention of it on Uinta's website.

Has anyone had a chance to try one?

That is odd - all I can find is a few facebook pages of stores getting it in stock and a picture with the bottle half in and half out of the frame. There is nothing on the website, nothing from any beer bloggers. Uinta brews some good stuff in their Crooked Line series, why would they release a beer and not tell anyone about it?

EDIT: I haven't had it or heard anything about it.

I picked it up in NC, so you should be able to find it.

It's really odd that there is almost zero online footprint for this beer. It's a good looking bottle with a fun label. I'll crack it open soon and report back. I posted a note on Uinta's facebook page, so maybe they'll shed some light on it as well.

This should be pretty fantastic considering how great their barrel-aged beers have been so far.

I don't think it's officially been released. It's not even for sale in Utah yet.

112 cases left for Chicago yesterday.-

Steve from Uinta here- we will have info posted on the website in the next few days- this one kinda snuck up on us.
Barrel Aged Baltic Porter (mostly Rye barrels for a year) somewhat smokey but super smooth at 8% ABV.

Federal label approval just received monday and we're working through various state approvals currently.

I had a really really really good BA barleywine from them on tap at Haymarket in Chi a few weeks ago... I'd say worth it.
