Throwing up the yearly bat signal for maibock! Let me know if you try any good ones around the metro area. Bonus points for packaging and distro!

Tried the Maibock at New Terrain yesterday. Not bad, but not worth writing home about either. Worth a try if you are in the area. I will say, I think New Terrain has one of the nicest outdoor areas for people watching and drinking.

New Terrain has quite the beer garden.. their offerings range from okay to great, but you’re not going to find anything mind blowing there.

I’ll always visit when I’m in the area just because the place is so cool.

Green Mountain Brewing has their Maibock on tap. Heading over there today after work. I've always liked their Maibock in the past.

Bierstadt Tmave and their collab with Westbound, Chicago Peaks Kölsch, are both now available in cans around town. As much as I like Wild Provisions and Cohesion, Bierstadt's Tmave is still the GOAT for that style in CO.

TRVE came out with theirs yesterday. It's pretty dang good. And in cans.

Chris, have you seen that Bitburger Deschutes collab around town? I'm looking for cans in a bad way!

Green Mountain Maibock is definitely worth a try. Also had the Maibock at Barrels and Bottles, in my opinion, not worth a try. Excited to hear TRVE Maibock is out, always a treat.

I got to taste the Prost Maibock on tap yesterday and it was excellent, definitely recommend people to seek it out.

On a separate note, that was my first visit to their "new-ish" brewpub location right near C-470 in Highlands Ranch and I was very impressed by the build-out, the beers, and the food. Well worth visiting if you are anywhere down in the South Metro. I personally loved that they were offering BOTH a German pils and Bohemian one side by side.

I work near the Prost off C470 a couple days a week. They're packed most of the times I drive by. I need to drop in if they have 2 totally different pils styles.

EDIT: Their website shows that they have flammkuchen. I looooove that stuff.

Did they have cans of the maibock or tap only?

They were tap/crowler only but it was BRAND new that day, and they are having a big Maibock festival this weekend. So perhaps cans are in the works now?

Looks like they will be canning a collaboration maibock between Prost, Avery, and Leopold Bros. https://www.instagram.com/p/CdLsrUaFtFv/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=

Which is good because I haven't seen any packaged options yet in 2022. Baere canned theirs last year, so I went over there but they're only doing crowlers and tap this year. (It is solid, not my favorite)

Hi all! Coming back out for another visit to Golden in about a month to see Big Head Todd again at Red Rocks. I see the Coors Brewery Tours are available again. $20 and 1.5 hours. I've toured several bigger breweries years ago (Strohs, Schmidt, Leinie, etc) so just wondering if there is something unique to this one to make it worth the $20 and time commitment?

DANG, they are now charging $20? Not worth it in my opinion. It is basically a self-guided tour. You carry a device that you use to listen to them describe the various areas of the brewery as you walk through. You get three 8 oz samplers at the end.

If you stake out the far right of Cannonball Creek’s bar, you can get a brewery tour and drink your beer all while comfortably seated.
