    Thank God it's Friday!

    The end of another working week, and a Federal election tomorrow in Australia. Come tomorrow's WBAYDN we might have a new Prime Minister. The Federal Opposition leader, Anthony Albanese, even has a beer named after him. Albo's Rice Lager from memory. Would you vote for a guy that has a rice lager named after him? On this crucial question the fate of a nation hangs...

    Tonight's beer is Pioneer Breakfast Stout, from Pioneer Brewing Company, which is located in Bowen Park, about 300kms west of Sydney. The beer has coffee, roast, pipe tobacco, caramel and berries. It's a nice way to start a weekend and with which to ponder my voting choices.

    And in case you were wondering, yes, voting is compulsory in Australia.

    He's not, but then which politician is? At the end of the day nothing much will change here no matter who gets voted in. That's the beauty, and possibly the curse, of modern politics in this country.

    Bunch of pre-travel paperwork to do today; setting up entry into Spain, and then the pain in the ass testing we have to do before leaving Spain in 2+ weeks to get back into the country.

    Good day BAs! Thanks, @AzfromOz, for starting today's thread. And you're correct @Shanex, the shit sandwich analogy holds in the US as well, for sure in national elections. Which party hack can benefit the most of his cronies? Fuck politics and politicians - to the meat hooks with all of them! Nuke DC! And have another beer and relax. I'm back from a dodgy two weeks traveling in the Pacific NW and other related areas with Mrs Lizard. Unsolicited testimonial: my Nissan Rogue was very acceptable as a rental car! Really didn't have much time for drinking since I was the chauffeur for Mrs Lizard's itinerary, although I got to spend most of three days in the Columbia Gorge, a place of rare beauty. If you're ever there, try the Big River Grill in Stevenson, WA, for excellent food, assuming you like salmon and/or sturgeon.

    Finally home and starting beer reviews again. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

    And WTF! The picture is too dark to see! Anyway, it's DAB LAB Pacific Resin from Block 15 Brewing in Corvallis, OR. This arrived courtesy of @woemad in NBS BIF #15, just before we left for the left coast. It's damn good! Rating 3.95, rDEV 0%

    Yep sounds like the US to. Voting is a illusion of choice here imo just divides the country even more the way both sides uses propaganda for votes. Both choices are always backed by big financers with their own agendas. Don't get me started!
