Fun surprise of the night: 4th Year Beer (a Quadruple from 2014?!) was tasting FANTASTIC.

Hope it sticks around a few days.

Quite nice..a bit sweet for my taste. I'm going to let the other 3 cans sit and mellow.

Marty has been asking for another shot at Deth by Currants because he has a new way to go about it that he believes will be light years better than the first batch. In Marty We Trust.

I suspect the feedback is less about how Deth by Currants was executed and more about the use of currants as an ingredient. The beer is only going to be as good as what is in it and not sure people are clamoring for glorified raisins.

What a great lineup, most excited for Deth by Coconuts.

Rev released two single batch beers at the taproom last year, Coconut Eugene and Primal Coconut Deth, with a stated 12.5 lbs. and 25 lbs. of coconut per barrel, respectively. The Eugene was excellent, and Primal Coconut Deth was one of my favorite beers period in 2021.

Did I hear people booing when Deth by Currants was announced? It was a pretty raucous environment, couldn't tell for sure...

Boos took place. I’m Booed by beer fans on the internet daily, so it doesn’t really bother me :stuck_out_tongue:.

Lol. Deth by Currants sounds like the Rodger Goodell of beer.

Wow! Getting closer to year round DW releases. Did the new release schedule come out?

not sure how I feel about that. I thought Deth by Currants was (and still is) far and away the best fruited version of the the beer, and it’s not even close.

Every other iteration of Deth by fruit (with the exception of cherry) has been too sweet with too thin a body.

I’m super pumped it’s returning, but hope it doesn’t go the way of the others.

That iteration of Cherry was amazing. Hopefully the currants will have a nice range of sweet and sour appropriately blended into the stout.
