Nice! Saxum is good stuff. My boss is a big wine guy and he's a huge fan of saxum.

    Boss Jacket (2019)...wow.

The lumber is hitting hard, plus complex dry booze notes over a fantastic English barleywine base. Tasting fabulous almost 3 years later, and I loved this fresh.

I'm glad Revolution commits to storing these in optimal conditions; this would have been consumed long ago had I copped it back in the day!

Couple months ago I found a 4pack of this in the back corner of my basement. Nice surprise. Had one last night and agree that it is still fantastic.

I got nothing cause I bought nothing, but point taken.

However, I would like to bitch about Le Petite Deth. They should not charge premium for that beer.

I loved the original Deth by Currants. If people are down on that announcement... well, more for me. /shrug

Deth by Currants wasn’t my favorite, and I’m not sure that I am “down on it” per se, but I will say it’s just more exciting to see something new than something that I didn’t enjoy as much. Something new feels like it has more potential, even though this will have a new technique.

I’m more worried that the next iteration of Deth by Currants is going to be worse - especially if the brewer is actively talking about wanting change it up.

If y’all recall, Deth by currants was the winner by popular vote - up against raspberry, berries, and plums. It was awesome.

i know currants wouldn’t have been my first pick based on favorite fruits or profile, but sit works insanely well with the base.

I hear you, but if any brewery has earned the benefit of the doubt for tinkering with their barrel aged program, its Rev.

I'm surprised at the feeling people have on Deth by Currants. I thought it was be best of the fruited releases they've done and I'm excited for it to come back.

No, no. What you have found is a picture of the 2016 release where he merely bought 24 cases and jammed them all in his car.

By 2018, the muling operation reached epic proportions. The same guy rented a U-Haul and purchased 130 cases, which is claimed to have been over 20% of the entire production run.

Why do you think it merits a discount? It doesn’t appear Rev took any short cuts with le petit deth

Sometimes I think people take posts too serious on here. I'm sure @prior2two was simply expressing that he thought the beer was 'so bad' it didn't deserve premium pricing. Most everyone expresses the same sentiment in just about every (brewery) thread at some point. Hell, the New Glarus thread brought up 'premium pricing' on pilsners, and people were upset (probably an exaggeration) because pilsner's are cheap to produce, not because the beer is bad. They felt it didn't deserve premium pricing.

I'm sure he wasn't suggesting they cut corners...
