That's a good point, splitting demand between two bars would be smart logistical move

While I'm happy for TH that business is booming, I'm sad to hear lines are back. Going back to last summer, I'd been roughly once a month up until March or so and I don't think I've waited longer than like..7 minutes for a beer including Friday evenings and Saturday/Sunday afternoons.

Separately, I'm not sure singles would slow things down all that much. They already do singles of bottles and it's not like the 4 packs are pre-packed in holders. I wonder if they'd turn over some of the lagers and stouts faster if you could snag a single can or two.

Separately separately, is there still a $65 min in Sandwich? I'm in the Cape with a lot of time to kill but very little need for more beer - I'm actually more inclined to go if I can walk out with <2 four packs.

I was under the impression that Charlton was no min for a while but the other two still had it - not the case for any of them anymore?

I believe the Cape still has a minimum, Charlton and Deerfield do not.

I don’t necessarily think the bottle argument is valid for cans.

I feel like melon can be a byproduct of the house yeast character. I might be in the minority on this, but it's one of the hallmarks as far as creating that fleshy biting into a fruit mouthfeel.
I guess the SKUs could be a problem if someone got a single of all 82 or whatever beers available. But like you said, they're taking individual cans and putting them into a case holder. I just resent their current system since we used to be able to quantify how much of each beer we want. I would go there more if they returned to the superior system. I'm pro choice.

Two words for you...... honeydew melon. You would have to do some deep digging in the past threads to know what I am talking about, but yes, you are not alone in the melon taste.

That's, for better or worse, the "house" flavor that is present to varying degrees in almost every single IPA they make. A lot of their beers can taste very similar for that reason, but the core 4 tend to have a good variety of flavor

Agree, I'll always try a new IPA from them but won't get more than a 4-pack or whatever the minimum is, but I usually never get them again when they come back in the rotation. The exception for this is the Juice Projects. They're always so good. I always get some of the core offerings, you can't go wrong and they always give you exactly what you're looking for in a TH IPA

Last month I bought some fresh Julius and King Julius at the brewery, and when I first had them they were great. The melon flavor crept up after a week or so, and by the last can it was pretty bad. Cans were still less than a month old at that point.

The IPAs have a good shelf life, but the first week they're perfection

There's a fine line between bubblegum and melon. I get bubblegum in TH IPA's (though not all the time), but every EQ beer I have had is a melon bomb.

Maybe it's the same IDK. In terms of fruit I get mango more than anything in Tree House hoppy beers.

I can't stand EQ beers, and that's why. I've had a good number of Tree House beers over the years. I've occasionally gotten the bubblegum thing, but this is my first encounter with the honeydew melon.

What's this bad melon flavor in IPAs everyone's talkin' about?
