Just wanted to follow up and say that I came across Ray Catcher in South Jersey this past weekend. That was a pleasant surprise! So, JA seems to be around still, which is a relief. Use their beer finder to see where it is available near you.

Oh damn. A collab with Bierstadt?? Hopefully this makes it out in the wild. A Munich style export.

They've now expanded distribution to North Carolina as well. https://twitter.com/JacksAbby/status/1537108932698812416.

I'll be curious to see this year's production figures and whether the increased distribution footprint results in a production expansion or is only a geographic expansion due to saturation/increased competition in their existing footprint. In 2021, JA and Springdale brewed 44,316 bbls (https://www.bizjournals.com/boston/...05/12/largest-breweries-in-massachusetts.html) and the initial capacity in the current brewery was 50k bbls with enough space to expand to 125k. I'm not sure if they've expanded beyond the initial 50k since they moved to the new space.

Also, a new release of an Italian-style pilsner on the 17th. No indication that it is beer hall only, so should see some distribution.

One RUMOR I heard is that they are going to take over the former Moody's space in Waltham. Don't think it was official when I heard but other people in town have been hearing the same thing recently. One person said it would be a Springdale location, but I imagine there would be JA beers there too if that were the case.

That would be awesome. Moody St is a great little neighborhood.

I thought I heard before/during the pandemic that Springdale was moving to Brighton, but if that's not the case then I can see Moody st. working.

(Rest in power, Moody's. Your Pork Roll breakfast sandwich was one of the greatest things on the planet.)

Has anyone heard anything about the Pils pack on the calendar? I feel like the rad pack came out later than the calendar shows, wonder if that or the italian pils released pushed the pils pack as well

The beer calendar in this thread was not the final version. Here is the most current one(though it is not 100% either).

Speaks to the industry standard and not Jack’s Abby specifically, but it’s always so crazy when you see upcoming Oktoberfest release dates. Copper Legend in about six weeks…not that I’m complaining, I love Oktoberfests.

I remember leaving a comment here that it was great to see the S&D becoming a yearly release only to get a reply that it was always like this. Now, it seems like it is slowly disappearing.

On a different note, there was a discussion not that long ago about even the regular releases being unavailable in NYC or very old. Now, I see cans with no date stamps at all. Is that the new expected?

This just showed up in Wisconsin which I can get to occasionally. LOVE the house lager. It was the only one they had. Anything I should be looking for...I enjoy all the classic German style beer.

I’ll be in Cooperstown this week so I’ll miss party but hope these two brews last a bit to try. Especially the steinbier.

The on-site and to-go lists are absolutely stacked right now. As much as JA focuses on distribution and expanding their footprint, I love how they're still committed to making a visit to the Beer Hall a unique experience.

Post Shift Pilsner and Smoke and Dagger smoked black lager are my regulars, but you can't go wrong with the variety pack either if you see those.

I enjoys those as well, but I just noticed at the store that Post Shift was the only four pack with no date stamped on it.

I don't usually go for the experience but do feel quite fortunate to be close enough to make a semi-regular visit to stock up on varities that dont see distribution. I'm hoping that the export lager and stein beer are still there by mid-week when I'm planning on stopping by.

Has anyone gotten a pack of sunny ridge from the beer hall lately and seen a date code? I usually order ahead for pickup but am concerned that it may have been canned quite some time ago.

I usually get the variety pack lately, so can't say I've noticed that, unfortunately.
