I'll lay odds that it's well over that abv if ever released again. Look at what's happened to Double Shot. OG bottle release was 7.6% and now its in the 9s

Emperor Julius is a hard pass for me unless I plan on trading with it again. I bought the 2-per limit on the initial run and it was so boozy and sweet, I couldn't enjoy it. Drank one and traded the other

I passed on it yesterday and prefer kjjj, but I believe it’s a solid IPA.

I saw someone say that yeast flavor in Trillium was like "peanut shells" and now I can never untaste that.

Linehouse is back. I thought it would be chill Sunday evening. How silly of me.

Yeah, I can’t do the lines. It’s usually a Tuesday or Wednesday for me, regardless of the season.

I took the Sunday off and stopped by Timberyard (meh) and then to Tree House. People were parked in the lower lot. I didn't bother with the "big boi" pours because the line was wrapped around like 10 times. Got Eureka Nelson and Trail Citra (Fucking great) and waited until the can line died down. Worked out pretty well.

I used to do the line thing but I just have no patience for it anymore. It's honestly absurd waiting 30 minutes to get 2 pours of beer.

Crazy we used to wait 2 hours for 8 cans, or hell, a single growler fill (for those Brimfield peeps).

Same. Those are my normal days off and I drive down once every 3-4 weeks or so, give or take. Totally mellow. 3 pours. No lines. What we all wished Charlton to be.

It's not the right beer for today, but I'm having Single Shot Barrel Blend right now and it's terrific. Following up one of the best cans of KJJJ I've had.

As far as linehouse, hope y'all take advantage of how great of a place it is from October to April next year :grinning:

I’m drinking Bourbon County right now. Every beer is for every day!

I was hoping 3 locations would cut these lines. I guess they’re selling more beer than we thought. Which was a metric shit-ton

I do feel Covid slowdowns affected people, as a whole, truly being out everywhere until this summer. The last 2 were incrementally more and more busy but noticeably different in many ways. I say that seeing the crowds rise living in a touristy area (Portsmouth/York)

It seems a lot of people did wait to travel until recently when most mask/sd mandates were lifting and bars/restaurants could get their staff and business back in normal’ish order. So I expect this to be a huge year. My folks in their 70’s waited until recently to visit places and I’m sure aren’t alone.

Now gasoline prices may tell us all to fuck off a bit as well. But people will still travel after being stuck home.

On the subject of Tree House beer, I really gotta throw some more love at the Sap series. My ratings don't properly show it, but these might be the best and most consistent beers they make. I haven't had a can of Sap or Super Sap that wasn't amazing.

Whenever I visit for cans I always make room for any Sap offerings available. They've all quietly been dialed in for years now.

Sap is probably my least favorite core beer, but Super Sap is in the upper tier of hazies. Crazy how (to me) it can taste so much better

Also I'm sure people have noticed the little "busses" they have now. Looks like 4 rows of people can fit in there. Maybe more.

Truly amazing that a brewery has to invest in these sorts of things but they still print money.

Hopefully Nate just says F it and puts in a waterslide.

I don't think it's crazy. As an example, for me Alter Ego and Doppelganger go from "eh, not bad" to "absolutely legendary" with Doubleganger.
