    I'm heading to NC for the Untappd fest next week. Never been there, and totally looking forward to it. I will have all of Wednesday to play, and plan to brewery hop. Would love to know some must-hit breweries. Whatcha got?

    Gotta check out Olde Mecklenburg. Great beers. Perfect time of year for the beer garden.

    I met the folks from Resident Culture in Maine at a festival in April. Really good beer, and I'm definitely planning on checking them out.

    I don't live in Charlotte so I will defer to others on the best places in town these days but when I am in the area I like to go to Fonta Flora at Optimist Hall. There are a great range of food selections in the building so I would go there during meal time. Heist is another brewery worth checking out. I have had mixed experiences with their beer (better experience with IPAs than other styles) but the food is quite good. I also like Wooden Robot more for their sours (if they have any on tap) than their other styles.

    This list plus Fonta Flora in Optimist would be my must hit list. Please note, Resident Culture has two locations, Plaza Midwood and Southend. Plaza Midwood is the original and the place to go. The Southend location is half taproom, half taco restaurant, half night club. Do. not. like.

    If German style lagers are your thing, then Olde Meck is a must.
