Both good choices. Someone threw a couple sixers of clear bottles in the walk-in at work and thats been my post work beer for the last week. Ice cold the Champagne of Beers is not terrible.

Oh yes. Just as tasty as I remember. Had a can of this last week and knew it was on point. You cant detect 10% in this puppy it's crazy. Super dangerous. About to throw some Tropical Delight up off into the air. Cheers y'all!

It's probably my favorite of his solo work. Hearing Lou and Robert Quine's guitars play off each other in real time (since the record is all live save the vocals and one guitar solo) is such a treat. The "my temperature is 98.2" line from "Average Guy" made me laugh out loud the first time I heard it.

His late '80s to early '90s work gives The Blue Mask some stiff competition though. New York, Songs for Drella (with John Cale), and Magic & Loss are three great records. In the end, nothing really touches the first three Velvet Underground records. Loaded is pretty good too, but not quite on the level. I actually like the VU outtakes album from '85 better than Loaded. It's probably the greatest outtakes album ever.

Too bad that this was best before May 2022. It has some oxidation going on but still quite drinkable. Thing is, I bought it when I saw it. Thanks, you freaking distributors.
