    Fine, soft golden hued body; excellent carbonation; thick, billowy head, white and semi-creamy. Decent nose; a bit floral, a tad fruity; some cereal grain notes. Great flavor; mild grain tastes; well-balanced hop bitterness; earthy. Light to moderate heaviness; lager smooth feel; sublime residual sugars coat the palate; light sweetness yet has an overall light dryness.

    I see (per the can label) the South Pacific pilsner idea comes from the use of New Zealand Taiheke hops. Well, they brewed up a pretty decent pilsner.

    Good evening all. Still pretty exhausted from the sleep deprivation, but hopefully one more night of sleep will help. Heading back to California tomorrow morning. Grabbed a single of this earlier today - this is the bourbon version of Peche Mortel. It's phenomenal. Cheers!

    It's the smoothest of the American macro lagers as far as my taste buds can tell. I prefer Coors Banquet for the flavor and the full 5% ABV, but High Life is about as inoffensive as it gets. Refreshing.

    Next up is a new barleywine for me. This is a red wine barrel-aged barleywine from Blindman Brewing in Lacombe, Alberta. They did a fantastic job with this one. Cheers!

    I sometimes do, but not this time. Went to a bottle shop and asked them if they had glassware. They pulled out a few and said to pick one (or 4) for free. It's always good to ask!
