They have rum, gin, whiskey, and 3 different vodkas available in Charlton right now.

the C5 release straddled the move from Brimfield to Monson. The first time I went was quite possibly their first weekend in Monson and I remember Dean warning that C5 was low and would run out, which it did while I was waiting. I was hooked from that day forward. It didnt take them long to build and move across the street. C13 was the first Curiosity to be canned across the street, followed shortly by C14 which I thought was particularly memorable from those days. Would love to have that come back for a special run

Yeah I remember the c5 release being close to the move indeed.

I was legit waiting at brimfield for hours ha.

Is Dean still spotted around? I feel like I never see him when we visit now. He was quite vocal even in the early Charlton days.

I haven't seen Dean since the start of the Covid. He and Lauren were really the visible, public personality of Tree House that people encountered in Monson. Nate was always working in the background and Damien regularly helped fill growlers. There were others, for sure; Jay, Mike, Kim, Eric, Dave...then it all blew up leading to the move to Charlton.

I know this is the Tree House thread, but I find it interesting that he says they release it when it's 28 days old. I remember reading that the cans would sit in the cooler for a few weeks before being sold to the public.

My friend gave me a 4 pack of Heady today and the cans are dated...today. It’s one of those beers that has always tasted the same as I remember it tasting when I first had it in 2013. Or, I should say, tastes just as good as I remember. Now that they're dating cans, I wonder if this is how they've kept this beer relevant in recent years; What was considered "green" 8-9 years ago, is "perfect" now.

This is all based on nothing, it's just a thought I've had for a while about The Alchemist. When does Heady stop being "hoppy" enough?

It'll be fun to see where we're at in another 10 years. If Trillium is still around I'd imagine 22% Octuple IPA's with chewable trub straight from the wort. Although that's actually not far off from what they're releasing now, but I digress.

I haven't seen Dean since late 2018, possibly Spring 2019. Lauren filled my order a couple times in Charlton, but since then I've only seen her a few times running around talking into her ear piece. Nate is a rare sight these days, too. The business is huge now so it's expected

Ngl, I don’t personally love this sort of talk, but I’ve seen Nate the past two weeks in the foh, either overseeing bars and the floor, or seemingly holding exec meetings. Also have seen him jog the grounds with Lauren. Anyways, seems weird to comment or care, just telling ya what I see.

anyways, wondering if another wax top with drop soon….

Just give us another aged barleywine with no adjuncts. I’m worried they think it’ll get stale and they need to spice things up. Just look at Revolution and what they do. Straight Jacket is incredible and they sell it every year with huge success. Not to mention VSOJ, which, Tree of Light was in the same league as imo

Each [750 ml] bottle contains the cold brew concentrate equivalent of three cans of cold brew. The best attributes of our Imperial Stout base and the House-roasted Geisha are represented here with extreme plentifulness and focus.
It's a genuine treat that asks to be shared with many.

Wow, I'd have to share with many if I wanted to sleep that night!

Yeah this is crazy, I’d try a few of those in 12oz cans like that VH sixer. Fruit puree + vanilla at 9%?? Hope my septic tank is pumped hahahahahha. I still don’t quite understand the jump up on ABV (and not just TH of course).

While not for me, there is definitely a segment of the ipa crowd that likes heavily hopped high abv ipas. Some of these (not necessarily tree house) fruit purée triples are very highly rated.

I can’t imagine tree house would ever stop making their core beers, including some of the crushable apa’s, lights on is such a good beer.

I had it and liked it. Bought another 4-pk today. I also like the Find the Limit beers at least up through 7 or 8 and I find the Big One has some similarity.

Yeah I was thinking about getting a bottle if still available, but $40 and being a bomber is too much. If it was in 12oz bottles I would get one at their usual $18.

As long as Green and Julius are still under $100 per case, they're doing ok price-wise

It’s the Geisha coffee driving that price. Not justifying it, not a coffee nerd, but it’s a “special” bean due to process/demand.

Also, bomber = 22 oz., at least that’s how I know it to be when the bigger brands were bottling beers.

Cheaper per ounce in larger format versus your example.

I've certainly paid far more for a 750ml BA stout. Hell, I think Achromatic Vibes at SP was $40 and that's not even BA. I don't think it's egregious.

Yeah it’s definitely the coffee driving the price. I believe a 750 ba stout at 34 is less than a 12oz at 18

As someone that's used to buying 12 oz Voodoo bottles at $24, this hardly seems like a major transgression.
