What do you get for a $10 kid reservation? Based on the website, the reservations are for drinks.

I guess maybe you get two "kids" drinks. IDK. I suppose if that's the case, cool, $5 for two lemonades or whatever, but I think maybe parents should be making that decision on what their kids are drinking rather than being forced to purchase drinks or drink tickets for them. Again, I could have totally misunderstood.

My guess, kids take up seats, that otherwise would be used for someone who drinks their product. They don’t do this at Charlton, because seating space isn’t an issue.

What do you mean by "premium"? Is there somewhere you can buy Tree House beers cheaper?

Yeah not for me, I just choose not to pay that much. I get that it is a bigger format, but I am never going to drink all that anyway.

And seriour but also joking question, who can even tell the difference between all these special coffees in these huge coffee stouts? I like coffee, drink cold brew every day, but am by no means a coffee nerd. Can you really taste the difference in the geisha stout vs the monochrome stout vs the kenyan bean vs the bean from hawaii or whatever? I'm sure many people will say yes, but I damn sure cannot. Lol.

Really is this really a question?
    premium:
relating to or denoting a commodity or product of superior quality and therefore a higher price.

this is from google. I expect a great product and experience when a brewery doesn’t distribute and charges a relatively high price for their beer.
I stopped going to trillium because Their quality didn’t match the price and drive.

fox farm though met my expectations. Hoping treehouse will as well. Been to treehouse but not in years.

Using it as a noun suggested that you were paying over base price. "A premium" vs "premium products"

That concludes today's English class. Thanks for coming everyone!

He did say "relatively high price" for their beer. Maybe he's appalled at paying $3.80 for a can of Julius.

Fair point... I'm impressed that they've kept their prices where they are despite the expansions alone, not to mention inflation. 4 pack of Green for $16 bucks is among the best values in craft beer today.

... although it probably cost me a week's salary in gas to get it.

Hello everyone, how are Thursdays at Charlton? Have a friend that lives about 30 mins from the brewery and is gonna grab an order that I place online. When is my best bet to order and have them pickup on Thursday?

You can order online once the shop opens, 9:30 AM. It also has a spot where you can set your pickup time. So timing doesn’t really matter unless you’re afraid of something selling out - order early, lock your order up. They’re usually done announcing releases for the day on Twitter by about 10 AM.

I could maybe see a small uptick with it being the lead up to a long/holiday weekend, but should be relatively quiet otherwise. A plus being your friend not living that far so timing really shouldn’t come into play.

For sure. With the days releases being done by 10, I think it’s best to lock in your order just in case something doesn’t sell out that you really want. Then your friend can pick it up at their leisure.

Also, if you’re interested in the two large format bottles (Peruvian Geisha and VB tree of truth), they aren’t allowing proxies and they are 1pp, so your friend would have to order them themselves while there for you as their own order.

Single IPA for $16 a four pack is still somewhat expensive for me. Most of treehouse doubles are $20. I rarely spend that on beer but sometimes I do. For example second fiddle I bought for $15 (although it’s a double). I get headway for $11 a four pack (counterweight DIPAs usually $14ish) and some NEBCO IPAs for around $10 a sizer. So I think treehouse beers are expensive but that is an opinion. I think fox farm is expensive too.

comparing lager prices, I get eastrock for $17 a 12 or $10 a six and think they are fantastic.

treehouse seems to be in the 12-14 range for a four pack.
I have been brewing for 13 years and will drink most anything but if I drive to you and pay what I think is a premium I expect the order to be right (it’s not McDonald’s) and I expect great beers. However an occasional mistake happens not a big deal but I will check if I go.

I appreciate the great responses from some. The ones that want to get into a pissing contest because of my grammar or other nitpicking things not as appreciative. Also my first couple of responses were overly aggressive and partially alcohol induced. I didn’t help situation.

$4 for a can I have to drive for needs to be great. I think Julius, green, and sap are awesome.

Yeah i saw those on the website so might see how that goes with them. I've had all of core beers (Julius, Green, Haze etc) and then some. Anything new you might recommend if they have it come Thursday?

I actually haven’t been in a bit - used to go every 4-6 weeks - so my last visit was March.

I’ll defer to others that are there regularly for newer beer recommendations.

I’ll pay more for a product that I know is good. This is why I’m hesitant to try new beers from them. They’re usually more expensive, but are also unknown quality. I know the core lineup is going to be fantastic. I don’t know if ‘Heat Wave’ or one of the other new DIPAs will be, so I usually stay away. Recent confirmation bias being Ultimate Machine, which I couldn’t finish.
