I had three Old Styles at the Club in Elmhurst, does that count?

Moor or More? I have had a More Huntley Helles and will review after a second or third, but I didn't find it as good to-style as their Maibock.

    I think I paid $11 for the 4-pack at Binny's.

@GuyFawkes -- sweet? Really? Didn't get that at all.

This was the Moor Helles, to be clear:

And yes, like @SeanBond I found it a bit sweet!

I think it is old enough where copyright law does not apply, so you probably could.. but so could anyone else.

Had another More (not Moor's*) Huntley Helles this afternoon. It's growing on me. However, it *was* the first beer after a couple days' abstinence...

*Now on my radar for my next beer run.

Just poured a can of Dovetail Helles (4.4 ABV version) and, man -- hazy to the point of opaque. :grimacing:

Does anyone know if their dating is packaged on or best by?

lol, are they jumping on the haze craze? Would an old clear beer turn hazy though? Isn’t it more likely with an old beer any sediment would congeal on the bottom?

Maybe not congeal, but settle, and then if you don't pour carefully you end up with trub.

These were canned in January (according to @Jaycase ). Not old to me -- considering many others, but who knows with what's probably a non-Pasteurized, unfiltered beer?

Third of 4 cans, and I don't remember the first 2 being cloudy.

Enjoying a kellerbier at Riverlands right now that’s hazy we can be. But haven’t seen that from a Dovetail Helles can before. Drinking ok?

It didn't seem any different from my original review -- maybe a little more flat in overall character, but nothing weird.

I don't recall the first 2 cans in the pack being cloudy -- maybe I poured them more carefully?

I'll report back on the last can.

Une Annee Pilsner is great! Think most people know them from their Hubbards Cave Hazies or Stouts. But they brew some really great Pils as well.

    Yes, Dovetail beers are unfiltered.

This happens near the end of a canning run when we get close to the yeast bed, as beer is pulled from the lager tanks into the canning line. These last cans are usually pulled from the line and shouldn't have been put into distro. If you're ever in the taproom, we'll buy first round.

Interesting. As mentioned, I don't recall the first 2 cans being cloudy. It's also funny that this particular pour wasn't more yeasty in nose or flavor.

If I'd snapped a pic, I'd take you up on the taproom offer -- but thanks anyway. I'll have my phone handy on the pour from the last can.

Had it just a few days ago when I stopped in at Kinslager. Been a while since since I've had anything from them them aside from their Babygold collab with Fitzgerald's in Berwyn (just down the street from Kinslager.
