They have a new session hazy out right now.

We have that going for us.

Probably because they don't brew it anymore?

Here's the July 1 BMI newsletter report on SN's first half of the year
"Up slightly" is better than the total Craft segment is doing.

On premises sales seem to be their big advantage, I've seen posts on here where people say that their brew pubs are a great overall experience. Maybe they have the edge there?

"On premises" probably means ALL bar, tavern, and restaurant sales, not just their owned facilities. Their pubs are important, but probably more for image and promotion, less for immediate sales and profit.

while I might gripe about beers that I love that aren’t being brewed anymore the fact that SN isn’t declining and doesn’t seem to be in debt I am ok with that. I am lucky that my friend lives in chico so he does pick up me up local beers I can’t get here in Southern Cal such as PB narwhal, alpha hop series, pale bock etc.

I guess in short I am glad to see SN doing ok despite some of my favorites being chopped. I do still drink a far amount of SN between pale ale, celebration, the occasional torpedo, dankful, hazy, big foot, narwhal…:dang I guess they still brew plenty of good beers.

@SierraTerence has been so helpful over the years giving us "inside information" on SN. I'm not surprised he hasn't logged in here for a while, he probably got tired of always seeing pings asking about the discontinuance of SN beers. I'm sure there a few brews that he has loved also that have been let go, but he realizes (like many of you should, also) that it's about the numbers- not about your favorites.

I was a member of Alpha Hops for six years before leaving this year. He used to run the program, but the COVID years appeared to be a huge challenge for him and the program in general. They also appeared to have challenges with scaling the program (Note: I didn't leave the program because of those challenges, but more the beer in the program was less and less to my liking). Great guy, but wouldn't be surprised if he has left SN.

I am sure his favorite thing to do after a long work day is hear us complaining about lagers that don’t sell being discontinued. I am very surprised he isn’t checking threads daily.

I think, as long as they make SNPA and Celebration and a great Anniversary beer every year or two, (I think I bought three cases of the 40th) I won't bitch about the things they don't make anymore, or all the Hazy Little _____s they have to pump out to stay in business (which is the "fault"-- if you can call it that --of The Market, which in turn is the collective taste of all craft beer drinkers, not just us, one might as well moan about the wind and rain)

I miss Kellerweiss as well. I used to pick some up every spring/summer.

The one silver lining. If it is that.

 Yup. That we certainly do. And for good reason. :beers:

Regarding SN's collabs, I liked the one with Mars Brau the best, though that one was more akin to a Festbier if I recall.

It is still listed under the "Specialty" tab on the SN website. I do not know what that means.

For me it can be the chicken/egg argument, though, as I couldn't buy many beers because they weren't around me and in the off chance that they were they were usually very old so were they not selling because they weren't wanted or were there other variables at play? I do think that we will be seeing the same thing with their hazies/IPAs soon, as they are aging out on shelves now too and I have noticed that HLT is nowhere near as popular as it once was around me.

Wow Atomic Torpedo is already on this list? That didn't last long (but around me the 19.2 oz can was not easy to come by).

Just back from a beer run and I noticed that all the SNPA packages had a "PALE POINTS" logo.
    "WTF is this?"
Turns out it's this - PALE POINTS.
So even one of the oldest "craft brewers" can still be innovative and create something new!

Well, if you don't count S&H Green Stamps, Raleigh Coupons, Marlboro Miles...
