Taco Thursday food prep underway......Civil Society Brewing Fresh IPA....with a shot of Identity Anejo tequila. My wife and I talked about it before buying it, but it's a case of ok tequila in a super fuking cool bottle. There's a reason all good marketing guys are millionaires.....

First beer in about a week. I ate something last week with macadamia nuts in it and it totally messed with my intestines, if you know what I mean. Still kind of wishy washy but maybe a beer will help. Cheers.

I got caught in some rain storms, oh knows, that just means pulling over and having a beer while it passes ha.

Chimay White, and reading another excellent novel by Andrei Makine. At Under The Volcano.


The rain storm let up, and was making my way home. Then, another downpour...which made me pull over to The Hobbit Cafe (not complaining at all, we need the rain, and love these spots). Had their signature Dwalin Chicken Curry Sandwich. A 512 Helles Lager in the background as the storm passes and the sun comes back out.



Two Houston institutions that I hope never closes. The Hobbit Cafe just celebrated its 50th Anniversary.

They have some original Rankin/Bass artwork, and tons more from various stages of all the books pop culture history.
