    That’s inclusively hilarious.
    Or maybe hilariously inclusive.

Ha ha, thanks! I wish my one shining creative moment of life could have generated a multi million dollar movie or something ! But it warms my heart 11 years later people still cite the video !

Unity (Nelson pale) is back. Amazing beer the first time around, and the quality of Nelson hopped beers in general lately has been absurdly high so I feel like it’s a pretty safe rec for anyone going this week.

I picked up in Sandwich twice last week while I was in the Cape and have been there 4 times now since they opened. The selection right now is crazy and the experience couldn't be easier and I was literally in and out of the parking lot in 5-7 minutes. Crazy to think I used to wait on line for an hour + in Charlton for the same cans years ago. My only complaint is that it is a little strange how off limits they make the place. If you step out of your car and walk towards to tap room someone comes out with their hands up saying please wait there and we will bring it to your car. I'd love to take a quick peak at the place for future visits when i am able to make a reservation for pours but they really make you feel unwelcome there. Anyone else had this experience trying to get a look at the place on a can pickup? I know Sandwich is a tough town and they are doing their best to keep things civil but hoping they can relax the visitation policy just a little at some point.

I think some of that overzealous behavior from the staff comes from the pressure they’ve faced from the neighbors - Treehouse is operating under strict guidelines from the community not to let the location be overrun with traffic.

I didn’t know this was a thing, but “on the Cape” sounds much more natural than “in the Cape” anyway. The latter sounds like the Mass version of “down the shore.”

Cape Cod locals will scorn you all even more and tell you it's simply "on cape"

Wait, you mean to tell me that New Jerseyans are using in/on wrongly?

Just wait til there’s a crowd at TH and they’ll have to get on line while in the Cape and be completely wrong about everything.

Alright, between Eureka Citra and Nomad Oak, I knew I had to make a visit this week. Managed to find myself with a light workload today so I have time to leave early, hit Charlton, then be back for a dinner with my client :sunglasses:

I’d like to amend my previous statement. Stopped at Charlton for cans on the way home from Maine. Got there shortly after open and it was a ghost town. Ended up staying for a couple pours because why not. This is so much different than I remember this being a few short years ago.

I was very careful to type on the Cape in my post about Treehouse.

If you play the traffic cycles, you can get in and out with no effort at all. Go Weds before 2pm and the place is yours (also true for a M, Tu or Th). Go at 2pm on a Saturday, esp in good weather, expect a wait.

Has anyone done cider pours at Woodstock? Guessing it might be a quick visit type of thing vs Charlton. I understand it requires a reservation and purchasing cider to go. Taking out of towners over and then heading to Putnam.

I went last fall and spent about 45 min to an hour there. Really pretty spot. Hilariously chill for the brand name, 10 people there max at any given time. Unless anything changed, as long as one person has an order in for a bottle or cans, you can show up and order pours. (It was just two of us, so can’t speak to bigger groups, but it was not like Sandwich where my understanding is you literally are making a reservation for a table/seats. We ended up sitting in Adirondack chairs next to their pond.)

They had about 5 options on tap when I went. Would highly recommend a visit if you like cider and/or even if you’re cider neutral but like fruit aging.

First trip up in over a few years. Here are my thoughts:

    Wow what a massive brewery.

here is a list of all the beers I had with a quick comment on each:

Surfcaster was a very good witbier. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Great.

Outlier- solid kolsh and drinkable. Good not great.

Sap-very good IPA. Probably my favorite of the hoppy beers I had tasted from my beers from treehouse.

Very hazy-too juicy, would prefer more bitterness for balance. Not bad but not for me.

Wanderer-calista dry hop-tasted very good but more like Pilsner then helles.

King Julius is similar to very hazy but more delicious. And by similar I mean I could use a little more bitterness from my taste or a little less juiciness.

Shipshape-solid Pilsner, But definitely not spectacular. Enjoyable. However I like some of the ones I can find in the store a lot cheaper. Also it’s hard to beat a German for a Pilsner

Green-really good. However from my taste I like a little more balance with bitterness maybe not quite so juicy. still really enjoyable though.

Very green-great IPA. Juice monster. Second favorite to SAP

Haze is great but same as other IPAs. Too juicy not enough bitterness for me.

Idle mind- nice Vienna, good not great

Julius really good but more hoppy and hazy then old school batches. It has a taste like many other breweries that increase volume. It’s hard to increase volume on these New England IPAs without the beer tasting differently. It’s unfortunate but true.

Rover very impressive very drinkable and lots of complex flavors.

Wanderer- awesome, great easy drinking but flavorful

My overall Takeaway is treehouse is a fantastic brewery. However I think they fall little short of the Fox Farm, and hills farmstead level breweries. I prefer them a little better. I feel like their IPAs are little cleaner tasting. Not sure if that’s the right way to describe it. However I will say this the lagers I had from treehouse are much better than I thought they would be.

overall glad I went. Been too long. The size of the operation is mind blowing. Them making a mistake on an occasional order makes sense. I wonder how long they can sell all this beer directly without distribution.

This was typed on iPhone so ignore grammar.
