Like how could they have ever added lime to Bud Light?

Con Mod with lime is ridiculous. I really didn't want to post this. It may be the endless 100° weather talking though....

I’d prefer a lighter touch on the lime for LCM. Not sure I’d pick it over the regular. It is good though.

Is Tete 19' lighter, thinner, I don't know the word I am looking for than previous batches of Tete? Might just be the photo but it appears that way and I have only had it once so wondering what everyones thoughts were on it compared to the previous batches.

the last couple pours were much cloudier. i should have done the “SARA Swirl” to this bottle but wasn’t thinking clearly lol.

i think Tete v19 is right up there with the best of the tetes (so, the rest of the tetes as they’re all delicious). it’s a little less wine-forward (although not oak-forward) and maybe a little lighter mouthfeel but i find both of these things to make this vintage more drinkable. i had to slow myself down on this solo bottle or i would have guzzled it down in 10 minutes flat. it was already at a decent temp but once it got closer to room temperature it was a thing of beauty. need to trade for a few more as these are fairly easy to get, as Tete goes, and so damn good. see no reason why they shouldn’t age well too.

regarding this, and i’m obviously a huge fan of CM, my first initial thought was that island lager they did last year with salt and lime and i wanted so badly to like it but just didnt. first time a shared lager has let me down in a long time.

Thanks for the description! Very glad to hear this, Tete is one of my favorites and I have been slowly trading for more and more vintages but just haven't gone after 19' that much. Maybe today is a good day to pop one and see how it is doing.

I agree, I thought it was phenomenal, not sure why it gets a bad wrap (in relation to other vintages.) I think it’s the no wax. Lol honestly I think it’s because there seems to be a lot more out there

also kudos on the Sara swirl, it works!

For those unfamiliar with "SARA Swirl": Google is dangerously unhelpful.

Haha jk there’s a good video somewhere on Facebook I’ll see if I can find it, but it’s just spinning the bottle upside down

this rocks. very light plum addition but enough to give it that beautiful pinkish hue. low acidity with more funk than sourness.

I’ll be that guy and say this beer does not live up to it’s pedigree, like not even close. Seems like it was a huge batch and quality was sacrificed. Oude Fermier 19, Fermier vintage 21, Vintage 2018 and Blended 2020 are significantly better. I will die on this hill!

    OF v19 > Tete v19 > Fermier v21 > Vintage 2018 > Blended 20

i do think tete v19 moves in a different direction as far as being a little bigger batch. it’s still very select barrels, as well as select foeders (something i never thought i would hear associated with tete), but i do not feel like it sacrificed quality to get there. plenty of wine barrel, non-stop oak - maybe for me the drinkability of v19 wins out but i dig it.

Agree with this. Tete ‘19 is more similar to Oude du Ble to me than what I have become accustomed to with older vintage Tete. It’s a good beer, but not in that God tier of non-fruited SP saisons. It doesn’t have that same creamy body, pillowy mouthfeel of older Tete, and the acidity is a bit higher.
