Yes -- very late, and the spot that got it in went through about 8 cases. I still have a few bottles left, waiting for some cooler weather.

Territorial still has theirs on tap, so I'm still getting my required minimum consumption. They didn't can it this year or I'd send you some, but you're invited to come and try it. Last year it lasted until sometime in August.

I still have a couple cans of More's Maibock -- would have bought more, but they ran out -- was a pretty good rendition.

Same here with the Duclaw cans that I bought. I'm trying to rid my fridge of old beer from the last holiday season (and one beer per day is my daily limit and that gets dragged out because I'm having an NA beer every other day) so the Duclaws will sit for a few more weeks.

Yeah, whenever I see something new I keep reminding myself Okto season is on the horizon -- and I know I'll want them all!

It was an Amber Märzen. Nice and bready and a bit toasty and not sweet nor hoppy. I think it did shade a bit on the lighter side of the Märzen spectrum like Ayinger's sort of does. I only started to appreciate Festbiers in the past couple of years, so I would not have been a fan of Guy's Oktoberfest back then if it had been a Festbier. :innocent:

I hope that local brewery does end up making a Märzen.:yum::+1:

This just in: on a related note Walgreens weekly ad today included their Halloween candy lineup (candy corn, pumpkin cremes, etc.). Season creep, you betcha.

Our local Menards has put out fall mums.

Maybe everyone is just trying to push the heatwave away.

Yeungling Oktoberfest is supposed to be available 8/1/22 in NTX according to a post from a local shop.
    Yeungling Hershey's Porter on 10/17/22.

Tons of places release them as Märzen but they usually keep it to taproom. I assume they call others usually with wide distro as Oktoberfest to appeal to casuals and i also assume Founders is making a BBA Version( which IMO is the dumbest shit ever) to appeal to hypebeast Untappd casuals.

Penns oktoberfest is probably my favorite pale / not amber oktoberfest out there. Much respect to them for their authentic style beers.

I saw 28-packs of Sam Adams Octoberfest yesterday. $26.96 at Sam's Club. I passed for now because I still have bottles of last year's batch.

Are you still drinking those beers? Have you continuously stored them cold?

    Cheers!

A 28-pack?! What's happened with tradition? (Bottles or cans?)

Have you seen any 36-packs at your local beer retailers?

I am. They’ve been stored in my fridge. As you know, malty beers age fairly well. They’re not top notch, but still drinkable.

Hopefully soon their St. Nicolaus(however it's spelled) bock will soon be out. Amazing brew!

Agreed - that is an amazing brew. And hopefully it will soon be out.

It used to make its appears around Thanksgiving-time if I recall. That was when one of the places that I used to frequent would get it on draft.
