We’re heading back to Seattle one month from now. Last visit was last year in October. This time we’ll be staying at our daughters apartment while she’s on holiday in Korea. The apartment is nearby Green Lake/University area. We plan on visiting Pikes Market area. Cloudburst will be on the menu. Anyplace else in the Pikes area? Food, bar, etc? Another day I want to take the bus to Fremont. Would like to hit up 1 or 2 more breweries/bars nearby Fremont. The last 2 times I stopped at Great Notion Georgetown. So no need to go back. Is there anything interesting between Green Lake and UoW? Ravenna? Any pubs/bars, restaurants, good food in the area?

I recommend taking the King County Metro 40 Bus. It will take you to the most density in Fremont and Ballard. BBThunderbolt mentioned a zone system. That's been dropped for a standard $2.75 fare no matter what time of day and you pay on entry (exact change only or ORCA card).
The ride is probably 15-20 minutes from downtown to Fremont N 34th ST as long as the Fremont Bridge isn't raised for boat traffic. You can board the 40 Bus again at that N 34th ST stop Northbound to the 11 Ave NW stop for the East Ballard brewery district.

I added a link to the route map. I didn't want to post the image as I don't know how large it would show up.

depends on how big of a radius you want from the "pikes" area - if you wander up to first/cap hill area, there's an unlimited amount of great food and plenty of good bars as well, and likewise up into Belltown I can't recommend teku tavern enough. that place is great - there's a post a bit up the page with a ton of great restaurant suggestions. EDIT to remind that cloudburst on western is only open for drinking on weekends (starting at 4pm on Friday) and just to go cans otherwise
    .

for Fremont - you can easily make a round of walking and hit fremont/masonry/aslan/brouwers, and plenty of good food along the way (also, all of those except Fremont have pretty great food). or, as mentioned from above just head to Ballard and have even more options in a short walk.

Thank you that’s super helpful! Will make a note and this will guide us nicely to Fremont!

On a separate note, does anyone know if I will be too early for any fresh hop beers? We fly out from Seattle on Sep 3rd. From research I’ve done I think we will be leaving a week too early sadly…

Mrs. vurt and I have been staying at a hotel near Pike Place this weekend.

Yesterday we caught the 40 bus (about 1 block away at 3rd/Virginia) to Ballard, where there is an amazing density of breweries.

Today we caught the 124 bus at almost the same intersection, and it brought us to the Georgetown neighborhood. Machine House Brewery is right across the street from the bus stop, and Georgetown Brewing is about a half-mile walk away.

I recommend buying an ORCA card for getting around on public transit in the Seattle area.

Generally, Two Beers is the first FH brew of the year, generally in the middle of August. Kendall does a good job keeping an eye out, keep an eye on his blog: http://washingtonbeerblog.com/

And, obviously, the Two Beers website: https://www.twobeersbrewery.com/home/

How much is an ORCA card for a weekend?

I think a brand new ORCA card is $3, and then you can reload it as you need to. You can add a day pass at Metro vending machines, or thru the app, or you can link the card add a lump sum from the website or app.

I am. To my tastes, the west coast, particularly the PNW, is the one bright spot for IPAs, where the default is clear, bitter and clean rather than liquid marshmallow fluff.

Thx on the recs @blackcloud @distantmantra @BBThunderbolt. Are there any breweries that have an outdoor patio area that has live bands playing on the weekends? In the Fremont/Ballard/Pikes area. I feel I need for some rock music while I’m in Seattle.

None that I can think of. Not really a thing here.
