Black Horizon Dreamsicle Sugar Bomb. I may have actually found the right milkshake IPA Dreamsicle beer.

It is almost more like a cream ale. No citrus astringency, just enough vanilla to balance and hit that flavor memory. Nicely done.

Oh, and gin to go.

 

Probably one of the better tunes you've posted, that's a great tune, probably my favorite from that album.

Not from the same album, but another one of my faves from FM.

Meh. Not something I would grab again.

 

The last time I bought this it was horrible, but I gave it another shot and I'm glad i did. Fresh(ish) can and i can taste the "nuttiness" this time.

Tonight's Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

1) New Glarus Two Women Lager (5.0%): A German-style helles from Wisconsin for flavors of pale malts, bread. A dry, yeasty, and bready mouthfeel.

2) Church Street Heavenly Helles (5.0%): A German-style helles from Illinois with flavors of light citrus, some wild yeast. Carbonated and dry. No date, but could be some spoilage.
versus
3) Utepils Helles (5.1%): A German-style helles from Minnesota with flavors of earthy and toasty bready flavors. A smooth finish.

4) Hubbard’s Cave Drippin’ Dew (7.5% canned 6/20/22): A NEIPA from Illinois with Citra Cryo for flavors of resinous melon, berry, tangerine. A dank, sweet finish. I would think Mosaic, but no Mosaic.

5) Drekker Synaptic Cleft IPA (8.6% canned 7/14/22): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Motueka, Moutere, Citra, Belma for flavors of lemon citrus, pineapple, green fruit, and white peach/grape.
(Mismatched #1 and #2 blind, correctly matched the rest)

Winners:

3) Utepils Helles: Becoming my favorite American-brewed version. Fantastic earthy and toasty bready flavors. Utepils is starting to stand out for their German beers. (New Glarus at #2 and Church Street at #3)

5) Drekker Synaptic Cleft: Stronger. I usually don't prefer these, but this matches the body with great flavors of citrus, pineapple, green fruit, and white peach/grape. Hides the alcohol well. Sweet, yet flavorful. If anyone can do a double IPA well, I'd leave it to Drekker.

Boulevard Tank 7 American Saison - delicious. @budsNpils If you can get your hands on some of this that's fresh, it's an excellent farmhouse brew.I'm sure someone will set me straight, but to me Saison=Farmhouse brew.

Looks really good! I’ve had some fantastic Boulevard offerings! My neighbor clued me into them a few years ago. She gave me a barrel aged Belgian quad that was awesome! Cheers !
