    Entirely agreed about the Roman Polanski part but I’d rather not rant too much about his pedo ass here. Not the right place.

    I also would like to add that Inglorious Basterds was a one and done for me. Not bad especially the first part and the French farmer hiding a Jewish girl and family under the floor but the rest of the movie was historically lacking a bit although I know that it was intentional of Tarantino.

    Cheers to drinking good beers while talking cinema. I feel like I’m at the bar in person with you guys. Almost. :wink:

    As I just said, I could watch his last film you mention and probably will watch again. The rest is also true for me. I still bite the bait and watch his movies anyway. :wink:

    I never saw that one or his other more recent ones after Kill Bill until Once Upon a Time, and also Django last winter with my brother (was good). I think you would really like True Romance, assuming you haven't seen it.

    With free miscellaneous plumbing fittings Ye Oulde Outdoor Shower Beer is a thing. Sun heats the exposed hose. H2O saver shower head allows for about 4 min of hot softened wahwah. Hamm's Beer. Very handy for the impending heat wave. Various bees on the bee balm are very nice to see. Cheers!

    Good morning BAs! Busy morning here on the mountain…the cat has been fed, my Monday garbage dump run done, and I’ve driven the Honda and BMW up and down the 3 mile mountain road to stretch their weekly legs. Kicking back with some coffee I found in Hilo yesterday - KBS:

    Bottled 2/1/22. I’m picking up more coffee notes than I usually get from the OG. Delish as always. Happy to have a proper breakfast stout.

    The morning has been rainy with bursts of sunshine so far; next break I’ll feed fish and do my ranch rounds.

    The drive to the green sand beach parking lot on the south side of the island yesterday was long (over 2 hours each way). The “shuttle” (standing in a pickup with roll bars for 1/2 hour each way) over really rough road was fun and jarring at the same time. After a scamper down the cliff, you’ll find green sand (olive drab) with sparkling crystals, rough surf and a couple of sea turtles swimming in the breakers:

    My crappy iPhone pics don’t do the beach justice…it’s an awesome sight/location and I’m glad I went as it is much better in person.


    I’m going to take it easy today. Mrs. Z wants to see manta rays tonight on the Kona (leeward) side of the island (our Hilo snorkel tonight to swim with rays was cancelled by the tour company). Until then, I’ve gathered a new stash of beer and I’m going to take it easy. Cheers and a big Monday Aloha y’all!
