    Including @pp7z here, thanks both.
So they had the Kolsch and LOTD on draft, along with an Artifact cider and the hefe in cans. The BBQ truck stuff was pretty to very good.
Absolutely gorgeous evening to hangout, even if they had to cancel the music.

I tried to stop into Tree House in Charlton on my way back from Saratoga yesterday. Can’t believe that place is still such a shit show just to get a pour of beer.

Said another way, I appreciate the Notch taproom experience even more now. As many people pouring beers at Notch in Brighton yesterday afternoon as there were pouring at Tree House. And TH had a line of 100+ when I was there.

I'm grateful for that every time I walk into Notch!

Not totally sure this is what Chris had in mind specifically, but I drank a 12-pack of Session Pils between the lake, pool, and campfire yesterday. And then bourbon. I will not apologize.

I am fairly certain that he appreciates your financial support here.

    Cheers! :beers:

That's 9.6 standard drinks by my math (for just the beer, not the bourbon). Over the course of an entire day that's not terrible.

That's 4.25 liters of beer in terms of liquid. I had 7 liters at Oktoberfest...only those beers were 6%, not 4%. You could do MUCH MUCH worse, and I imagine you weren't legless by the end of the day.

I was likely into the double-digits on my birthday at Notch. Hard to keep track of those stanges though.

Hey when you buy a 12 pack, that thing isn’t gonna drink itself.

I appreciate the supportive words, friends. I have a first-in-a-while date night this weekend and I'm engaging in the Amesbury Silvaticus/dinner or Salem Notch/dinner debate. One is WAY closer, but the other is Notch.

Stanges don't count. Those are tools of hydration.

A good rule of thumb is to round down to the nearest half-liter. Therefore, any serving size less than 25cl becomes 0 and doesn't count.

Feel free to round to the nearest liter as well if unlike me you're less good at math, this would also bring other serving sizes into "negligible" size.

Alright … Need restaurant recs for Salem post-Notch.

We like it all. I would err toward outdoor seating (for weather, non-fear related). Beer list matters very little. Cocktails/wine a plus.

This would be for a Saturday in case your pick is “get a reservation” style. Thanks in advance, homies

If you're going for a really nice dinner, this wouldn't fit the bill. But you'll probably get lots of love for Howling Wolf. Awesomely huge burritos and killer nachos.

A few to look at. Most weekends it will be fine, until late September and October.

Also Finz and Sea Level if you want to be outside on the water and enjoy seafood.

Since I assume you're driving, you could also always head 10 minutes over the bridge to Beverly and eat at Frank if you want a nice Italian meal. Also a nice excuse to get your English cask ale on at Back Beat and Gentile.

Back Beat should be playing live jazz as a bonus...

And if you're SUPER ambitious and don't feel like food in Salem, you could go to Swampscott for dinner at Mission on the Bay. Eat on their roof deck for some killer views of the water.

But, Jon, you had me salivating at "awesomely huge burritos" a few posts ago.

Well I dunno, big date night...thought the lady might want more romance...but hey, given my choice in that area I'm going with Howling Wolf.
