One of our NJ distributors just shared a "coming soon" video of yuengling oktoberfest cases rolling down the line...

Not a seasonal -- caveat emptor.

Well the fact that they only send it over for the fall makes me consider a seasonal for us here in the US…

Do they? It's year-round in Germany. Maybe it's just your local distro ordering it for the season.

@FBarber -- one of your faves, any insight?

Yea around here @steveh it only started showing up last year during the fall. The marzen that is…that looks nothing like one would expect a marzen to look because it is only in strength designation I guess.

I loooooove me some Punkuccino. Wish it came in some format by itself but no such luck. The other beers are fine too.

I saw HB's O-Fest in bottles and mini kegs today along with Bell's O-Fest. Also saw Weyerbacher's Bourbon Imperial Pumpkin Ale but I'm pretty sure it's been sitting there since last year.

I went grocery shopping earlier today and I saw a number of Pumpkin beers (Shipyard, Pumpking,...).

I have not seen the Elysian Pumpkin Pack but when I do I will purchase it (and drink those beers in the fall).

    Cheers!

    @jonphisher

IDK about Europe, but I know the place I got it at last year only had it for the "oktoberfest season". They cant get it year round stateside.

Smuttynose Pumpkin is one of my favorites, I consider it the quintessential pumpkin ale. Perfect color, just enough pumpkin spice, flavor and enjoyability.

Must be an odd marketing thing to the US, and probably a misunderstanding about Märzen and US beer drinkers.

My friends from Stuttgart brought me bottles in early Summer back before it was imported over here.

Bring on the (imperial) Oktoberfests! And some pumpkin ales I've never had before!

Yea I have no doubt it is based on our drinking habits of märzens and the Oktoberfest season.

Yards released our marzen yesterday. August 1st. Canned and shipped out. 6 pallets. Aka 600 cases. Don't know where they are going. Assuming some will hit Giant like always.

Had some (6) last night. Drinking great.

@M-Fox24 posted this one below in the NE lager talk thread, I'm very excited they are making this on its own instead of the mixed fall pack...

Also Neshaminy Creek's Creekfestbier returns this Friday...minor hop changes I noticed: used to be hallertau and tettnanger, now hallertau and herkules.

At the Yards production meetings was there explicit discussion about needing to get this beer out 'extra' early this year? Is this a post pandemic business measure?

    Cheers!

Devil's Backbone brewed one a couple of years ago, called München on Hops (a "Bavarian IPA"). It's now on München on Pumpkin, a "Pumpkin Lager" :grimacing:

No talk of it at meetings but I do know it's one of the top sellers behind philly pale. Could be the reason for extended seasonal creep
