Mid week vacation check in. On the lake in Southern Illinois. On Lake of Egypt, a really cool secluded spot. Hitting up some old geology spots from my days going to SIU ha.

Found out the old record store I use to go to 20 years ago is still open in Carbondale. Probably going to check that out while I'm still here. Other than that, just entertaining the niece and nephew, reading, and drinking

Maybe be back later...but internet is very sketchy, which I'm perfectly fine with.

 

Sure, why not, beer is afterall a festive beverage.

 

Just got back from the swimming pool since it's a hot day. Tomorrow will probably be the same. First beer of the day. So a "late" start. 8)

 

Finally something that isnt a pilsner or helles. Pretty tasty aswell.

 

Went to the local Aldi and picked up some new beer like this one.
