OG & coffee are the only ones I’ll look for/pick up. In Texas, we won’t get the special barrel variants and the others sound awful.

Loved the barrel focus they have had in recent years, not as excited for adjunct city

We only have the original come into town so it's a no brainer.

The flavor on the 2018 Vanilla fell off pretty quick, as did others. I should crack my last bottle and see if there's any vanilla left.

i was surprised they dropped BW & Coffee after announcing they would pasteurize & return to exclusive barrel selection. sounded like even with the new measures they still failed at an unacceptable rate on their next attempt after the 2015 fiasco. MHO that gave an even clearer glimpse of how shaky the program had grown.

You can't compare an adjuncted stout ( Bourbon Paradise has vanilla and coconut) the the California king of non adjuncted stouts ( Parabola) . For 9.99 a bottle it blows bcbs and any overpriced Prarie liquid dessert out the 7 seas.

After reading this I briefly flirted with the idea of dunking a Twinkie in my lager.

I'm with you on prairie but bcbs is cheaper per oz than parabola. They both have enough variability year to year that my preference changes each year. But honestly, the best batch of bcbs I've had tickles my fancy more than my favorite parabola.

I honestly see myself throwing down and getting either or both barleywine n coffee if I come across it this year. I'll consider it a treat.

Paraboloid ( the Double Barrel ) is pretty excellent. I am guilty of not being a big fan of Goose Island , but i will purchase the 2yr Barleywine for the wife and maybe the Anniversary if i see it and the price is right.

Pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza or in beer. Whatever happened to good old vanilla?

Agreed, and the regular BCBS is often on sale for $9.99. I picked up several vintages at the price a couple of months ago in Anaheim. For that size, it's a great price. Parabola is also amazing, although I wasn't a fan of the 2021 spring edition. The fall 2021 edition (just bourbon) was much better.

I'm excited to try Barleywine, but highly doubtful we'll get that or 30th here. Hoping we at least get coffee.

I can think of few foods I enjoy more than pineapple. That said, this variant sounds about as unappealing as any they have made to this point.

Yeah, when I see regular between 9.99 and 11.99 it's an easy choice. To me, bcbs hits the body I want out of a ba stout just about perfectly. Parabola can tend to be a hair thin for my taste. But I would never turn down a parabola, genuinely a wonderful beer.

Am I the only one who thinks this years Proprietors sounds fun? It's too bad I'll be traveling to Chicago 2 months before this drop. Hopefully I see the Barleywine and Sir Issac's around MA
