Coming in town for the holidays and was hoping to pick up a couple bottles of JK stuff for a trading partner in Chicago. Do JK bottles make it to Houston and if so, what might I find around town next week?

You can certainly find some around town... I'm not a big JK fan, so I don't keep up with what they have out now.

Find some of the bigger Spec's stores, big HEB's, WHole Foods and Central Market grocery store... and D&Q Beer Station...

What side of town will you be staying in?

    I
I'll be staying on the west side of town, near Katy (closer to the NW corner of George Bush Park).

To answer the original question of what you might find:

If you're lucky you might find some of the JK sour limited releases that just came out... Funk Metal (Sour Barrel-Aged Stout) & Das Uberkind! (Sour Vieille Saison). Perhaps even Buddah's Brew (has that dried up in Houston?)

More than likely their regulars will be what you find:
    -Farmhouse Black Metal Imperial Stout
-Le Petit Prince Farmhouse Table Beer
    -Farmhouse Wytchmaker Rye IPA
    -Mad Meg Farmhouse Provision Ale
    -Noble King Hoppy Farmhouse Ale

Of those... Le Petit Prince and Mad Meg are probably my favorites.

I'd think any Spec's or Central Market will at least have their regular selections. The sours are where it's at though.

Old Limited releases might be around as well... I still see Bonnie the Rare (Berliner Weiss) and Weasel Rodeo (Imperial Stout w/ kopi luwak coffee & chipolte) around town here in Austin.

Thanks gentlemen...for the links and info - I'll be looking! I am also contemplating bringing down some Surly stuff (a couple bottles of Darkness, maybe a 4-pack or two of the regular line-up) so might be able to snag some that way...
