Any of you guys know what stout they were blending up recently? Was it Anabasis or the almond twcp one maybe?

New collab with Private Press. Maybe not another Almond Suite, but a new/another Munichwine given the malt choice/use. A Silent Pursuit 2…another name…Side Pursuit…

 

must be a munichwine, im excited. all their collab stuff has been great


edit: also they mention "their first turn" maybe its a new series coming from both breweries. Man im hoping, PP is legit

 

I've loved the barleywines from PP but the stout I had was just average. Interestingly JO's stouts haven't missed a beat since he left and are maybe better than ever but the few barleywines I had lately from them haven't been as good.

 

i think it started out good but they have gotten better with every release. rings of splendor b2 has been his best yet.

also i think theres an adjustment to his old school style compared to the pastry lactose heavy stouts that have taken over. im a big fan of the old school which might also be why im enjoying them so much.

 

Shared using the most basics of all adjuncts: hazelnut

 

Oh well…hazelnut vibes is officially happening.

wow! crazy. i thought he was totally against hazelnut. im excited to see how this guy turns out!

wish they left the hazelnut coffee portion out tho lol

It's definitely Horus. I actually prefer their stouts that have hazelnut over the ones that don't, but don't take that as a strong endorsement of Horus.

 

I am thrilled with this news! Hazelnut is probably my favorite adjunct if i had to pick one. Big trouble in little Wynwood B1, Distractions Grasp, Starry, and BAAT, are some of my all time adjunct stouts.
