Roasting some chickens on the grill. And trying to stay hydrated.

Tesseract never gets old, just ridiculously good. I really wish tomorrow wasn't Monday so I could crush this whole 4 pack, but I'll be more responsible than that. Cheers everyone!

A great place with really good steaks. A fire ripped through the place. I’ve had many steaks there. An iconic place in Philly on South Street. Sounds like an AC or ventilator fan may have malfunctioned and sparked the blaze. Fortunately no one was hurt. Hopefully they can reopen. Something like this can devastate a small business.

In my town here in the Boston area a family owned bakery that had been in business for decades was wiped out when an oven sparked a blaze. They weren’t able to reopen and had to shut down.

Savor those local owned / family owned restaurants and establishments.

Just read the WHYY story (that’s the local PBS affiliate in Philly) that Larry posted. 100 firefighters were brought in to battle the blaze. 100!

That area of Philly is densely packed old buildings. They just have been terrified of the fire spreading.

Couldn’t reach my beer earlier. I did figure it out. Haven’t had this one today… tastes like a very good, well, you know. West Coast IPA from Green Flash.

MO. A pale ale brewed by Maine Beer Company. Last of the MBC brews in the house. I guess I know where I will be going tomorrow.

Well the rain blew thru and dropped the temp to a really nice 80. It also shows that I could spend about 10 hours pressure cleaning the pool cage. Anyway, a surprising pic of a Jai Alai on the pool deck....

After a couple of fruity NEIPAs, I'm craving something hoppy and bitter. Ironically, we had better Foreign Objects can distro a few years ago but thankfully the new tasting room is close enough for fairly frequent excursions and these hoppy ales age well. Cheers and have a great week, everyone!

Decided to crack this since its my Birthday.
And holy crap this is damn good.
    Cocoa Colored beautiful head.
Cocoa powder on the nose as well as espresso, vanilla and spices.
Head lingers as the 14% abv lurks but never overpowers. Nice bourbon and oak with white pepper, sweet black cherry, coffee, caramel. Just layers of incredible dark fruits, licorice and spices. Body is lighter than you would think for a dark fruity beer. Still medium but astoundingly drinkable.
One hell of a good beer. Feeling some bourbon burn now. The buzz is real.
Fantastic brew IMHO. Im not a huge pastry stout guy so this fits the bill with all that character and not the sludgly body. Loved it.[IMG]

At the beach, drinking a somewhat-local IPA from Burnish Brewing in Salisbury MD. My first (and quite possibly my last) from this brewery. Astringent, bitter, lots of sediment, and not a whole lot going on flavor-wise. But hey I'm at the beach, and it's drinkable, so I'm not complaining.

...this day was so-so score-wise (too many 'M's primarily), but the bulk of the attempts grouped nicely...used two different loads, so sighting adjustments were a big factor...still, a fun time...
