They pour it towards the end of the GABF sessions. Pro tip, bring or buy a second taster glass, consolidate several pours into one glass and enjoy.

I was just looking at my last 750 of BA yeti sitting in my cooler. It may be time to bust that out after seeing your post.

Did a side by side by side with my friend. WWS was too little, BBA WWS was too much, UBA WWS was just right. The best of three nice beers.

If you like big, bitter, roasty you'll be impressed. If you want smooth, sweet, cloying I suppose I could arrange a refund.

When I bought this one around Christmas time I remember thinking I probably wouldn’t like it very much. I like mint and mint chocolate, but I’m not salivating at a mint chocolate stout. I’ve had a few in the past, and they were alright at best, but not my favourite cup of tea.

This was better than I expected. Kind of a cross between an After Eight and a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Not sickeningly sweet. Still, my taste for pastry stouts has tailed off significantly.

Bellwoods Blitzen Chocolate Mint Imperial Stout.

Looking at my GD Yeti family reviews:

    Yeti-BA - 4.5
    Oak Aged - 4.38
    Mex-Choc - 4.34
    Big Yeti (25th Anni) - 4.32
    Oatmeal - 4.24
    Yeti - 4.21
    Espresso - 4.18
    Belgian Style - 4.17
    Vanilla - 4.11
    Chocolate - 3.93

My liver feels tired just reflecting back!

GD's pricing is crazy given the stupid prices one pays for a stovepipe. Sixers in my neck of the woods runs $12.99, best bargain for an impy stout for sure! My review of Mex Choc in 2018 i was able to get a 32oz growler for $9.00 which makes me wonder if \my local in PHX got it for a bargain or f'd up pricing it out.

Have had Yeti a few times the last couple of months and methinks i have this severely underrated. Will go back and re-review soon! Yeti rocks!

    Cheers!
    Tom

Another great BA stout - Ralphius from Free Will. Comes in at 14.4% and it's intense. Sweet, but not too sweet. Nothing added - just sat in the barrel for a year.

Thoughts on this one? Personally not liking it much at all. I think the cocoa powder is throwing everything off

    i hated it

For me it was the nasty artificial vanilla flavoring combined with the cocoa powder. Way too much going on. @BigIronH loved this one more than the Coconut+Mostra Coffee one i sent him though

I don’t drink a ton of stouts for some reason. Oftentimes my reaction is, fuck, I should drink more stouts. Then I don’t.

Anyways, this one is exactly what I wanted it to be. Fuck. I should drink more stouts.

@Beer_Economicus knows how much i love me some Dark Apparition

For the record i like DA much more than the Barrel Aged version. Much much more

The BA Version in my eyes lacks so much and doesnt do the base stout justice, but i love their other BA Stouts like Anvil Chorus. @SFACRKnight also feels same way i believe
