Today was opening day for Scott’s & Gregory’s newest adventure, Windsor Brown’s in Anaheim. I thought it was a good start. The wife and I split a sandwich and salad. We shared Frilly Toothpick and a Caesar’s salad along with a bag of dirty chips. Beer was on the menu too. Got to try out what all the hype was about with Everywhere beers. The Moment Of Truth was just that. It was good. Nuthin to jump for joy. Worthy of 1 4pk. Also had half (looked like a full pour to my eyes) pour of Timbo Pils. Wished I had reversed the 2. Saw some regulars there enjoying the new sandwich/beer/wine spot. There were some glitches for day 1. I was over charged on 2 items on my final bill. Some of the menu prices did not match the computer prices. Gregory knows about this and corrected it on the spot. Let’s hope they check all the menu prices to the computer $ before others find out. Again, day 1 bugs. Otherwise we had a wonderful time chatting with Scott, Greg, Fernando, Harrison and others. If your in the area (Monkish, MT, Packing House) do stop in and say hi to the crew. Just another place to get some great pours and a sammy.

I'm planning a crawl around that area with some buddies over labor day weekend so WB's just got added to the agenda. Looks like a nice variety on the tap list.

If you haven’t been to either of the Windsor Homebrew stores you’ll be in for a treat with his taplist. Scott does get some of the best in the west plus. The website doesn’t show what he has in bottles in a cooler tucked away to the side. For in house consumption. I’m not into all that cellared stuff. Just toss me some great IPA’s and I’m good. I’ll be back sooner than later. But I’m waiting for this new Beachwood pizzeria joint to open up down the block from me. I heard Green Cheek SB should open soon after BW Pizza opens.

Also went to Windsor Browns. I had the turkey sandwich. Buddy had the pastrami. Both were fantastic. Had the Cellarmaker, Sante Adairius and Side Project. Everything was great and am looking forward to my next visit

That’s what I saw 2 weeks ago when I drove by. Except the side didn’t have the plywoods. It was just a wall along the side. Looks like windows are going up. They were working on the front patio at the time.

if anyone is wondering about the new Green Cheek on PCH, The sign still Says Harry's, but it's been painted blue and the windows are no longer blocked. Progress, I guess.

Stopped by Windsor Browns with a friend recently, they make some hefty sandwiches. The Italian was bad, wish the bread had a bit more crunch to it, and the caprese was a lot more substantial than I’d thought it’d be.

Tap list was the same level of top quality selections like at the bottle shop. I’m definitely adding it to my rotation whenever I’m in that part of Anaheim.

Newest Green Cheek officially opened over the weekend.

Nice article on their newest location. I didn’t know they had a small distribution. Never seen any of their cans in any of my local. Maybe at Windsor before they opened their Costa Mesa location? I hope they change the food menu some. Of course keep that smashburger and tots. Bring back the hot dog and for sure bring back them brussel sprouts they had at the beginning. My go to B sprouts is now at RiiPs new pizza joint.

Of course. With the third location their distro will be cut, unless they find a facility that is used for brewing only. I wonder where the 4th location will be?

Stopped by the new location on Fri night. it was jammin !! Went again Sunday and it was less so. People flock to the upstairs area with its' nice views. Beer and food are about the same, just the selections are smaller. I have four minor quibbles: Unless you get their early, parking can be bad; no bar to sit at; no cable or direct TV; it can get loud. But that won't stop me from going once in a while as it was fun and I enjoyed it.

Will Green Cheek brew at their new spot? Or are they going to be the SoCal Fieldwork and just open a ton of beer bars in OC?

No brewing at their new spot.
My guess is more “beer bars”, expand the brand, and then sell.

Far too small for the location to have any kind of brewing capacity there, current or future.

Why expand more? Just sell out to Brewery X. BrewX has the capacity to brew a ton more. They have a huge outdoor venue. Then they can expand on their seltzers and sell a ton more seltzers. They might even change the name to Brew X Cheeky? I think Green Cheek has a lot of catching up to Beachwood’s venues. Did I mention soon to be Beachwood Beer & Pizza? I think Smog City has 4 spots now. All in LA county. Raul might be a happier Raul if Cheeky opens down by his area. You never know. I think Cheeky’s got north OC covered. Maybe he needs to make a nest in south OC?
